The moment I entered my car, I knew it was going to be a tiring, yet enjoyable day. As I was heading to the local library to finish my exhaustive ten page English paper and my lengthy Chemistry homework, I passed by a horrifying rollover car crash and was forced to make a detour. With it being a Friday afternoon and Halloween, I knew I had to be extra careful because most people were leaving work and people were already driving erratically to get to their destinations as fast as possible. I felt anxious and was on high alert of my surroundings. As I approached the library, the parking lot was jam packed, and every spot had been taken besides one which was far away in the back left corner of the library. The library was crowded with people printing documents, checking out books, and doing homework. I went to an empty table, unpacked my backpack, and began my English paper first. After about an hour of continuous work, I decided to take a short break to refill my water bottle. As I stood up and proceeded to walk to the water fountain, I glanced to my left and saw a white male in his mid-twenties with a short beard, shaved head and a black jacket unearthly gazing at me. We both …show more content…
I drove forward and turned left, which was the biggest mistake I took all day. There was the man in his car, waiting by the air pump. I thought to myself, “I’m in deep trouble now. If only I reversed…” The pursuit continued again. I got back onto the road and continued driving aimlessly for about 10 more minutes, and sure enough, he remained on my tail. I tried one last time to outpace him. I approached a stop light and as I got closer, the light turned yellow. My heart was beating and I thought, “It’s now or never”, so I gassed the car. I was shaking, and I felt as if my heart was going to burst through my chest. I looked in my rearview mirror to see if the man drove through light, and he did as
The racecar was not the most creative or what some would call beautifully designed. But the owner and his father worked for weeks on that little wooden block to turn it into something the ten-year-old boy could be proud to race. A previous race showed what needed to be done for a car to make it in the top five. After careful designing, sanding, painting, and graphite the car was finished.
After some distance a patrol car pulled up behind me and began flashing its lights and sounding its alarm. Damn!
As you can imagine I was contributing my fair share of all the clamor, but after about seven hours it soon became apparent that the effect of energy drinks would wear off. If you could have been there and looked around you would have seen some people reading, other talking amongst themselves; however, I was playing halo on my laptop. About two hours later after just getting into Colorado everything bad you can imagine started happening. I was asleep at this time, but when I heard the loud BOOM!, SNAP!, and HISS, I was instantly awake and wondering what had just happened. At first everyone thought it was just a blow out, but after our youth pastor got out and checked all the tires it soon became clear that there was a much bigger problem at hand. So our youth pastor decided we should call a mechanic and a tow truck, the problem was deciding if we should call...
It wasn’t enough to kill him but enough to knock him out for a few second but I took a chance and sprinted back towards the car. I was almost there when he started to catch up to me. I didn’t stop I just kept tromping through the weeds. I never run anywhere I’m not one for exercise I usually would have passed out by now but the adrenalin was rushing through my veins making me sprint faster and faster.
The day started off like any average day, I took a hot shower, got dressed and got prepared for the day. It wasn’t until I sat down and started eating my bowl full of cheerios with extra sugar, that I realized what was actually happening. Today would be the day I finally bought my first car, after a year of hard work and conservative economic decisions.
Do you remember how you came across your first vehicle? How was your experience? Having a vehicle comes with many responsibilities and expenses. I will never forget how I meet my first car.
You can’t see anything around you and there are animals that could attack you. I was on my way home riding my bike. I was as scared as a mouse being chased by a cat. Suddenly, I felt my hip vibrating. It was my phone and I got a text from my mother. She said, “Where are you! You are super late!” I had to stop and text her back because I knew she would get mad at me if I didn’t. Then she texted me again and I had to stop, and again, and again. With her texting me I thought I would never get home. Then I decided that I wouldn’t text her and try to get home as fast as possible. That was a mistake that I will never make
The first thing that needs to be known about this car is that it is not my car it is my dad's car that he lets me use. If I ever refer to it as my car he looks at me and asks whose car is it. Since I can not call this car my car I figured I would give it a name. My dad's name is Christopher, he goes by Chris. Since he always reminds me that it is his car not mine my sisters and I named the car Topher, the last part of my dads name.
I got my car right before the beginning of summer. Brand new was not an option so I opted for a shiny-black, used Jeep Liberty. It was not in meant condition, but I was just exstatic as long as it had air conditioning that might just turn my fingers blue with frostbite. I had my car for a total of four months, however, before it became an unsightly crime scene. How did my car get wrecked one might ask? It all boils down to one decision I made. One bad choice could destroy a lot of things, so don’t let people convince you into making rash decisions. That was my mistake, and I'm still paying for it.
Sure the guy passed me, but he didn’t stop there. He pulled over about 10 feet in front of me and waited. I stopped in my tracks. My job was another two blocks up. It was the only safe place to go but if I continued to walk up there, he would have grabbed me. I knew he couldn’t pull over into the opposite lane of traffic, so I quickly crossed the street to get away from the van. He pulled off, and made a right at the next light. I’m pretty sure he was attempting to turn around and come back but, I made it to my job before he could.
One night while driving home from work I had taken a new path home. It was not an act of adventure seeking but a necessity, as the main road that I so often took was closed for construction. It was a cool summer night and the fireflies were out making a dull thack sound as they hit my small white truck’s windshield, leaving behind a light yellow glow before vanishing as Tim McGraw’s “How I’ll Always Be” came through the static on the radio that had to be older than the truck itself. All had gone well until I made a wrong turn, and my GPS lay eerily silent in the passenger seat, which was cluttered with a Toyota sweatshirt and Brownstown football baseball cap, on its screen. The small blue car, meant to represent my 2011 Ford truck, showed that I was still on course.
As we progress forward in life, we notice that things change whether we want them to or not. Not all changes in life are good, but, not all changes in life are bad either. Over the span of the ten months I’ve owned my car, a lot has changed although a lot has stayed the exact same. From tiny scratches and dings on the bumper to ordering custom made parts from overseas, my car has changed a lot, yet is very far from its final form.
I went to Disney World in the summer and it was my first time there so I was really excited. Me and my mom had the all inclusive package and the food there was amazing. We stayed for 1 week and we got to see everything. My favorite ride was Test Track where you could make your own car and then you got to go through all the stages in this simulator ride to see if your car passed. My favorite park that went to was Epcot. People have said that I am great at reading and can pronounce and read difficult words. ELA is not my favorite subject. Mostly because I do not really like ELA. I used to read a lot when I was 6 and 7 years old. Now I don’t really enjoy reading as much as I used to. I have trouble understanding which words are adjectives, nouns,
Every man loves their car, correct? Now if you go and ask an adult about their first car they will smirk or smile at you, regardless of the kind of car or the year it was, simply because of its experiences and the memories they had with their "baby" or "Sally" or whatever name they gave to their car. It's a beautiful experience when you have your first car, all kinds of feelings inside of you and you cannot wait to drive it and take your companions for a spin. When I got my first car was in March of 2013, I busted my ass for a while working in the construction field with my dad, about 6 months before I came up with thirty five hundred. The thought of me getting my first car, was all I had in my mind, I had an budget of three thousand five hundred and looked around the internet.
Many people have a place that is special to them. Maybe it is the place where they meet with friends, the place where they feel safe, or the place where they fell in love. I have yet to find this place, so right now, what is special to me, is the thing that will get me there: my car. I drive a 2013 Dodge Dart. It is much nicer than my last car.
