Murder is a good way to get rid of annoying people forever. When murders commit crimes, they are motivated by different things, and that appears clearly in the book of Genesis. Some stories tell how a person can kill some of his/her family members like Cain who killed his brother Abel, others tell some attempted family murder such as Joseph's brothers who tried to kill him before they sold him. These biblical stories happened many centuries ago, but until nowadays we still have people who kill their families for different reasons like Mark Meeks1 who had killed his wife and his children .Although anger drove down Cain, Joseph's brothers and Meeks, they did not have convincing reasons for killing their relatives because killing someone is not …show more content…
This is what the story of Joseph and his brothers shows. Joseph's brothers had sold him into slavery to Egypt, even though he had done nothing wrong, other than to articulate a couple of dreams he had that his eleven brothers would bow down to him. The brothers wronged Joseph not only because of his dreams but, also, because he was the favorite son of their father, Jacob/Israel3. Some of them even wanted to kill him. When the brothers came to Egypt, he did not know, for absolute certain, what their intentions were. For all he knew, they had heard of his great status—ruler of all Egypt, second only to Pharaoh—and were envious. Had they come to kill him? Were they only pretending not to recognize him? If so, he had to take the upper hand and demonstrate his absolute authority over them, if only to intimidate them into unconditional submission to him so that they would be much less likely to harm him. Since he was in a position of power, he felt that this was the best opportunity he would ever have to be vindicated for their unwarranted treatment of him in the past. He felt completely justified in tricking them and dealing harshly with them, as all of the things he did to them had them cowering in fear. Since it clearly was a miracle of God that he even was in such a high position in …show more content…
The two stories have differences than similarities. Meeks succeeded the crime and did not think twice before committing his crime but Joseph's brothers did, they wanted to kill him but they changed their minds, and that is maybe because they were a group of people who each one of them thinks differently, but Meeks was one person by himself and did the crime the moment he felt so

First, Murder goes against religion. The Bible states in Matthew 5:21 that “You shall not murder”, it also says in 1 John 3:15 that “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer”.
That’s why Queen Ankhesenamun decided to write to her rivals for help. The Queen's letter declared that she wanted one of the enemy's sons to become King. While the enemy had accepted the Queen's deal and sent their Prince to Egypt, Horemheb found out about the letter that the Queen had sent, he was furious.

The love that a parent feels for a child is the most indescribable feeling in the world. Most parents would do anything and everything to protect their children, but not all parents are aware of the danger their child faces. In the short story "Killings," by Andre Dubus, a mother and father are faced with the tragic death of their son. Both parents, although both may not admit to it, believe that the murderer deserves the same consequences their son suffered. Matthew Fowler takes matters into his own hands, and along with his friend, Willis Trottier, kills Richard Strout. The death of Richard Strout should not be tried as a murder, but as a justifiable homicide. Matthew Fowler, the father of Frank Fowler, had every reason to reciprocate Strout's actions. A child should not be taken from a parent in the way that Frank was taken from his.
First off, why did he kill people and that’s what I’m about to tell. Well, one reason would be because he wanted killed to collect slaves for the afterlife. It can be known because in one of his decrypted letters it is quoted as “WHEN I DIE I WILL BE REBORN IN PARADICE AND ALL THEI HAVE KILLED WILL BECOME MY SLAVES”. He has also admitted to liking the danger and the rush of killing people.
He says to them “My house is being plundered. Is this courtesy? Where is your indignation? Where is your shame? Think of the talk in the islands all around us, and fear the wrath of the gods, or they may turn, and send you some devilry” (2.68-72). He wants to know why they are doing this to him and his family. King Odysseus is known to be a great King, but his son begins to question his greatness as King. He says to them “Or did my father, Odysseus ever do injury to the armed Akhians? Is this your way of taking it out on me, giving free rein to these men” (2.76-79). The Prince also lets the people of Ithaka know that he is disappointed at them. The Prince says to the people “What sickens me is to see the whole community sitting still, never a voice or a hand raised against them” (2.251-253). He is concerned on why they are not standing up for their King.

Serial killer is a person who kills three or more people with a cooling off period between murders and these murders may go on for a period of months or years. The murders that this person commits may have similar fashion or the victims may have something in common, for example, occupation, race, appearance, sex, or age group. Psychology is the science and study of human behavior and mental processes. Moreover, it is the study of human minds and its function.
He kept saying that it had to do with what he felt the Lord wanted him to do for his fellow slave friends, but I do not feel like he was completely right in the head and I feel like he needed to do what he did for his own well-being. He obviously thought he was serving the Lord by doing so, but when you think about it logically you cannot declare someone right in the mind after something like this. Committing horrendous murders as an act to show the Lord how you think you have to serve him is completely contradictory. He could have used the whole “Lord’s will” as an excuse for his wrongful actions, but why else would he have any reason to kill these people if they had not done him
Mass Murderers and Serial Killers are nothing new to today’s society. These vicious killers are all violent, brutal monsters and have an abnormal urge to kill. What gives people these urges to kill? What motivates them to keep killing? Do these killers get satisfaction from killing? Is there a difference between mass murderers and serial killers or are they the same. How do they choose their victims and what are some of their characteristics? These questions and many more are reasons why I was eager to write my paper on mass murderers and serial killers. However, the most interesting and sought after questions are the ones that have always been controversial. One example is; what goes on inside the mind of a killer? In this paper I will try to develop a better understanding of these driven killers and their motives.
Odysseus preferred to use violence to solve the problem, and he was easy to get angry. Especially the time he treated the suitors, “You yellow dogs, you thought I’d never make it home from the land of Troy. You took my house to plunder, twisted my maids to serve your beds. You dared bid for my wife while I was still alive. Contempt was all you had for the gods who rule wide heaven, contempt for what men say of you hereafter. Your last hour has come. You die in blood” (23.34-40). Odysseus decided to kill all the suitors to protect his family, which proved he was a blood thirty man. Nevertheless Moses was quite peaceful, he would like to use irenic way to solve conflict between Egyptians and Israel. For example, “And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear” (Exo. 7.16). We can know that Moses tried to solved conflict with non-violence, instead of Odysseus’s violence. All in all Odysseus and Moses were both greater leader, however one prefers deal problem extremely, and the other would like to solve things
