As one of the three finalists, you have been asked to meet with the assistant superintendent in charge of curriculum and instruction. You have heard informally that you are the first choice of the principals, who have already interviewed you, and whether or not you get the job depends on your interview with the assistant superintendent. You also know that to do well you must be able to think clearly and support your remarks with specifics, and include noted authorities, wherever possible. You really want this job! It is a set of strategies aimed to aid the diverse challenges experienced by rapidly changing U.S. demographics. I bring forward a load of coursework and personal experience that has prepared me to apply that to my classroom. My views on multicultural education are that multicultural education is more than cultural awareness, but it is an initiative to encompass all under-represented groups in the classroom. I will strive to provide students with the curriculum, comfort, and environment they need to learn about the cultures of the world.
