Multiculturalism is defined as people coming from different countries or background to reside peacefully in one country. Many people wish to keep their cultural and traditional values but at the same time they want to become a member of society. The aim or concept of multiculturalism is to bring different cultures and values into existence. Since multiculturalism helps to interact socially with other people, finish cultural differences and creates new opportunities for young generation. Therefore it has great influence and has been playing significant role in our lives. Multiculturalism in Canada has been good experience and it is still going on. Many people from other parts of world migrate to other places for several reasons such as to have command on their language ski22lls, for higher education and bright future etc.

Multiculturalism in Canada has finished cultural differences, racial discrimination and communication gap. Culture of an individual is based on their values, beliefs and traditions which cannot be modified by anyone. As this is their personal matter. Differences do exist within all minorities. As I have mentioned before cultural values cannot be modified or removed from their personalities but they can adapt some characteristics of other cultures. People who spend time with people of other background might learn some information about other cultures and traditions for example if an American spend some time with Muslim might get to know about each other and cultures as well. Furthermore, Cultural Difference are usually created due to their different language, tradition and values are different than others. In other words their way of thinking is not same. For instance in “Global Anxieties and Local Debate”, Banting gives us the illustration that becoming as one unite it not only helps to know about each other cultures or languages but it also creates peace and love.

Similarly in “Multiculturalism and the history of Canadian diversity” Day challenges that if immigrants and people coming from different part of societies or communities become a one unit, Multiculturalism might stay in a country for a long time. To put it briefly, Multiculturalism has been a successful experience by putting so many options for young generation such as exceeding in other languages and having knowledge about other cultures, will definitely bring peace and unity.
