I called Momma Defreese and asked if she could give me a ride to the game. She said “yes”. I was home alone so I had to make sure that I was ready before she got to my house because my mom wasn’t home to tell me when to start getting read. I decided it was time to start getting ready and when it was time for here to come pick me I made sure all the lights in the house were off, the doors were locked and that the dogs had been taken care of. I waited by the door and the saw Momma Defreese pulling up in the driveway. I got in the car and Momma Defreese turned up the radio and we started jamming out to the music, and singing every song that come on the radio. When we got tired of the songs we started talking about anything and everything. We had some really good conversations. There were a few funny things that happened. …show more content…
Momma Defreese asked me, if I could look up the directions, so I did. I’m not very good at giving directions I guess. When we reached to the town, Momma Defreese said “ Brielle, we really need gas, but I can’t stop because we will be very late to the game!” So we didn’t stop. That was a very bad idea. We finally got to the game. It was already the end of half time when we got there but at least we made it. The boys ended up losing the game. It was the last game of the season and year. They did very well though. We got back to the car and made it all the way to the highway, still have no gas. Then the gas light was flashing… We had to pull over. I told Momma Defreese that we should have gotten gas. It was a very scary situation. Semis were flying by, cops were passing, and then a car pulled up behind us. That is when things got really scary. Momma Defresse’s called her mom and told her what was going on and she came and picked up me and olivia and got gas for momma defreese. We went to olivia’s grandma’s house, ate soup and chilled
Far back, in the midst of a time when the world was very young, there lived a princess named Lucille and a bunny named Fluffy. Lucille was a beautiful girl with chocolate brown hair, and eyes as blue as the sweet summer sky. Fluffy was as white as snowflakes and as soft as clouds. He offered plenty of razzmatazz but little manners. They lived together in a tall castle, covered in green vines and grey cobblestone, hidden in the dense forest filled with animals and nature.
Maudire les actions du diable ! After years of working my fingers to the bone, this is all I get! The three people I valued most have left me. Ellen- my dear wife- passed away. My son – the one I trusted to be there for my family, after my time– has gone. Also my doll, my Mattie, with her sweet smile, her resilience as strong as a bull…Très bien! Qu'est-ce que je vais faire? My land, and my shattered family are all I have. I feel nothing… except shame, fear, and sleepless yearning for my loved ones. What bothers me most is … they all left me. Life would be so much easier with Lawton pulling the cart, Mattie looking after the younger ones and my precious Ellen… just staying here with me. I've been double-crossed by MY family!
Many seek a reason to live, that fills the hollowness of their hearts with purpose. My brother, who has Autism, is that purpose. He has influenced my character and my convictions In the past, like so many others, I needed to feel a sense of belonging in society, in my family, and in the world. Whenever I turned on the television and watched the news, there were always disturbing cases of people abusing, torturing, and mistreating individuals like my brother.
A gentleman motioned to us that he had finished and was going to leave. Dan got the pump number and went into the store to pay for the gas. As the car pulled away I began to pull Dan's car up to the pump when all of a sudden, this van come screeching around from the opposite direction, trying to get to the pump before me. I stepped on it and the driver of the van slammed on his brakes. I continued until I was j...
Q: When your mom died the effects it had on Margot and Lara Jean must have been different then you due to your age. Your sisters had to grow up overnight and become responsible and had to care for you. How do you believe your mom's death impacted you? A:
It was the last Saturday in December of 1997. My brother, sister, and I were chasing after each other throughout the house. As we were running, our parents told us to come and sit down in the living room. They had to tell us something. So, we all went down stairs wondering what was going on. Once we all got down stairs, the three of us got onto the couch. Then, my mom said, “ Well…”
You know I always bite my tongue but its been a lot of things I have been holding back on saying. I would greatly appreciate it if you could please stop tagging me in every little picture you see of babies on Facebook. Everyone knows I have a daughter, its no need to constantly post all day. Also, I hate how when I went in the hospital to have my daughter you came and I didn’t tell you to. Last summer me and my best friend had made plans for the future.
My brother asked my mom where we were going to Dallas until the tornado passes by. I couldn't believe that we had gathered all of our things together in time before the tornado hit Shelby County. On our way to Dallas my mom called my uncle to ask him if we could spend a few days until the tornado passed. While she was on the phone I began thinking about Panda and Scooby and how would it feel if we had left them back at home. Then after about an hour we stopped at a Mexican restaurant to eat.
Everything started with the- twins, Lexi and Ava. Was something to break? Alicia did it. The twins are seniors in high school, and now the game has altered. They use Alicia to go out with guys they’d actually never go out with as themselves.
We practiced, we tried, but we couldn't win. I learned a couple things from this. This is when I learned that no matter how good you are, or how good you think you are, football is called a team sport for a reason. There is no carrying in that sport, no matter what level you are at.
Present White, hot, blistering pain that makes each scream for mercy unwillingly rip from my chest like a rabid animal only to turn into a raspy moan as it leaves my cracking lips. I pray for death to come quickly and find my cries ignored as if the fates were playing some cruel game with me. They have taken all semblance of hope from me until I’m left with nothing but darkness. I embrace the darkness I once feared with open arms and let it wrap me in its embrace.
My throat is burning from all the yelling, yet not a word has escaped my lips. Can you not hear me? Can you not see my pain that is in plain sight, stated in the shadows situated so heavily underneath my eyes? I'm calling out to you; I'm waving the flag. I'm sorry I didn’t try harder, that I didn't try to fix what went wrong.
Behind the photograph Spring morning always had a smell of freshness from the bionts that made me felt exhilarated. I saw many students who wore the same uniforms as me on the streets: laughing and chatting with their friends, but there were few who didn’t, those girls looked glum and languid, one of them had a big headphone on her ears which reminded me the girl I saw yesterday- Alice Bradley. ** It was a inclement night and i could hear the howling of the wind outside my window. The earrings my sister had given to me were gone so i went to her dresser searched for others while a black leather album appeared in my sight.
We ended up getting 8th in the tournament! Not only did we get to just play basketball, but we got to know each other and make team memories.
We were sitting on an ice cold metal bench outside of Off Square Books, and my dad was talking to Tracy on the phone. He asked me if I wanted to talk to her, so I did. We talked about what my dad and I had done that weekend, school, and friends. It was a nice conversation, and I always love talking to my stepmom. After I hung up, my
