The two top candidates for a minor league team in the California League are Concord in the San Francisco Bay Area and Mission Viejo along the coast by Los Angeles. There are reasons why neither of these cities don’t already have teams. Concord is barely out of range of the Major League teams in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is a fear that if Concord isn’t a Giants or A’s affiliate it won’t draw a big enough crowd. Mission Viejo is along the shore and there is a worry that a team wouldn’t be able to compete with people going to the beach. Each of these cities Urban Areas have a population over 600,000. There is enough people that a correctly managed and marketed team should be successful. This project shows the potential cities that could
host a minor league baseball team as expansion at the Major League level grows nearer. Other leagues and levels could adopt similar comparison with the cities and teams in their leagues to expand as well. Independent Leagues could also follow this model. Independent League teams are constantly folding, relocating, or expanding. The United Shore League (Midwest) is hoping to expand to 20 teams very soon and has similar attendance rates as the California League. They might need to adopt different economy, but they could do something similar to this project.
The mission was established initially in 1690 as Mission San Francisco de los Tejas in East Texas. The mission was abandoned and moved to the West Bank of the San Antonio River and was called Mission San Francisco de la Espada in 1731. Its purpose was to serve the Coahuiltecan tribes and educate them in religion.
Mission San Juan Capistrano is a mission like no other. Mission San Juan Capistrano was founded in 1775 and in 1776. Serra’s Chapel was the first permanent building. It was made out of Adobe brick instead of wood. Local native Americans helped build the mission and hang the bells. The people worked for 8 days then stopped. They buried the mission. The people came back the next year to dig out and rebuild the mission. A neat fact about San Juan Capistrano is the brand of their livestock is the letters C,A and P twisted together. San Juan Capistrano is called the jewel of the missions. This unique mission is not an ordinary, everyday mission.

Major League Baseball owners have voted to contract the league and disband 2 of the 30 teams in the league before next season. B. The owners claim that it would not be profitable to keep playing baseball in Montreal and Minnesota. ...rises me that little to few people know the true past of California and I believe that it should be taught in high school. I also never knew about the unfortunate circumstances of all the Chicanos that were relocated and lied to in order to build the Dodgers Stadium. Being relocated by force essentially and promised a better living condition where they have priorities that was never built. I have been a Dodger fan my whole life and never thought about the location of the stadium and how they obtained it. The worst part is I see so many Chicanos at the games and are die hard Dodger fans that don 't know the complete story.
It is unknown at this time whether the claims in Senne are viable enough to stand up in court. But by drawing from what has worked elsewhere, MLB can be ahead of the curve. By proactively improving the minor leagues, MLB can both address the plaintiffs’ legitimate concerns and make life better for their young talent.
of skills and talent to make it. If players are just slacking off and taking baseball easy
Teams are taking are taking advantage of the abundance of talent in Latin America. All major League teams are active in the Dominican Republic. The Dodgers, the first team to move into the Latin American market, scout the area’s talent closely. About one hundred and four of the two hundred and thirty-seven minor-leaguers they had under contract at the start of the year were from that region.

The presence of the past is everywhere. One does not have to look very far to realize that the past has quite an influence on the present. In fact, there are a few examples of modern works of art at the University of California, San Diego, that bring to mind architectural works of the past. One such example is the La jolla Project, which is a collection of stone blocks on top of a hill on the Revelle College lawn south of Galbraith Hall. The isolated groups of blocks refer to architectural elements such as columns, posts, lintels, windows, and doors; but the collection, as a whole, resembles a modern reconstruction of Stonehenge. The La Jolla Project and Stonehenge differ from each other in many ways, but they also share some striking silmilarities that are constant reminders that the past is very much a part of modern life.
During the 1600s to 1700s, the Spanish were settling Texas. They did this by building missions and presidios throughout the land. The purpose was to keep the French out and to change the Indians' ways of life. Some of these missions failed and some succeeded. All in all they were closed after years of trying to change the Indians.

The importance of culture in International business today cannot be underestimated and it is imperative that attention is paid at strategic, organizational and the individual levels. The “Blue Ridge Spain” case elucidates these at all three levels. My analysis of this case is from the perspective of the Spanish corporation, Terralumen S.A. National culture is the shared implicit beliefs and tacit values that truly differentiate one cultural group from another. I will be using Geert Hofstede’s frame work to deconstruct this case into its separate dimensions.
The number one recommendation for American teams is that they should focus on building teams to which players and fans would be loyal to, and then they will build success and gain revenue in the process. This can definitely be a changing factor for sports in America.
