Many scholars have tried to piece together information about the life of Mira. Most of the sources used to put the pieces of her life together have been through her autobiographic poems. Mirabai was born in 1498 A.D. in Kudki. She was the daughter of Ratan Singh. Her grandfather was Rao Duda, who was the ruler of an independent powerful state in Rajasthan named Merta. Mirabai's mother died when she turned two, and so her grandfather took her to Merta and raised her there.
Rao Duda was a "man with a devotional bent of mind," (Sethi 4) because of this, there were regular visits by holy men at his palace. This strong presence of devotion undoubtedly had an influence in Mirabai's spiritual tendencies. Not only did Mirabai have a strong devotion in her spirituality, however she was known to have a gifted voice and was said to be one of the great beauties of her time. Mirabai had the customary royal upbringing, including royal education, which consisted of "knowledge of scriptures, music, spinning and sewing, along with archery, fencing, horse-riding and driving chariots" (Sethi 4). All of these traits made her more attractive. The King of Mewar, Rana Sanga approached Mirabai's grandfather for her hand in marriage for his eldest son.
A few months after Mirabai's engagement, her grandfather Rao Duda passed away. This was a devastating shock to her because Rao Duda raised her as both a mother and father figure. Mirabai later got married at the age of eighteen in the year 1516. Her husband was said to be handsome and a well-known warrior. About ten years after their marriage, in 1526, Mirabai had another devastating shock, her husband died in battle. Mirabai was selected to be the future Queen of Mewar. Six mont...

...hi 25). Scholars however believe that she escaped, so she would not have to return to Chittor, as there were no guards at the temple.
What made Mirabai's devotion to Krishna so deep? This is perhaps a question we will never find the answers to. Was it the spiritual devotion taught to her as a child? Perhaps it the many deaths of loved ones she had to endure. This question can be argued, however something that may not be argued is that she had a strong devotion to her Lord. She cut social ties, risked being murdered, and stood through both public and family criticism. Not much is certain about Mirabai, nor her life, however what is certain is that she dedicated her life to Krishna. She dedicated her life to getting to know the Lord. Today Mirabai is noted as a great devotionalist, poet, and her songs are sung throughout different parts of India.

The citizens of Matewan, a coal -mining town in West Virginia lived amidst a feudalistic class process. One may think of medieval times in connection with feudalism, but the film “Matewan” directed by John Sayles was based on historical events that took place in 1920. The feudal lord was not a European king, and the serfs were not farming his land. Nevertheless, feudalism existed in this southern town, as the workers did not have the ability to choose their employer. Unlike Capitalism, the members of Matewan could not go out into the free labor market and choose the businesses for which they wished to work. The Stone Mountain Coal Company made choice nonexistent and in doing so gained feudal power over the employees.
One of the more in depth stories that Migdim told was how she refused the marriage to the man her father chose for her. It is customary for a woman to get married to her paternal first cousin. Her female relatives made her the tent she was going to live in and brought her some bridal gifts. Migdim refused to eat as well as covering herself in color in order to holdup the wedding. After much objection, Migdim did not marry the man that her father chose. Actuality, her father failed twice trying to arrange a marriage for her.

Maria Teresa’s cautiousness and sensitivity remain consistent during the revolution, while her consideration for others changes. Maria Teresa is exceedingly careful throughout her life starting with her relationships with men, and carrying her into her revolutionary skills. Her emotional fragileness is responsible for her many breakdowns, both major and minor, during her life. When Maria Teresa becomes imprisoned, she loses sight of her consideration and focuses on getting herself home. Although her life was cut short due to a tyrannical leader, Maria Teresa Mirabal made her mark on history as a strong, beautiful butterfly.

To conclude the main point of there's a lot of wisdom in the stories of khalid the main point that i want to derive is the fact that khalid ibn alwalid at one point of his life had a sword unleashed walking around in the battle of uhad khalid ibn al walid in 586 A.D which is after the prophet muhammad birth with 16 years and as tradition in arabs quraish they sent khalid to a foster mother who would take care of him and raise him in clean strong enviroment which had a great impact on his life untill he became 5 to 6 years old, he went back to his family in makkah.
Hindu thought sharply contrasts Western thought. A central theme in the Hindu religion is following one's dharma, which is an individual's "spiritual duty" (McCrae October 30 2003). This duty is "not bounded by a law code, and there is not one path to salvation" (McCrae October 30, 2003). Because there is no law code, morality is ambiguous. Its definition is unique to each individual. In The Mahabharata, fate (which works interchangeably with dharma) presides over what is traditionally right.
Ramatoulaye recalls how Mawdo and Aissatou were madly in love, but their marriage was never accepted by the groom’s family as she was “a goldsmith’s daughter” while he was a nobleman (Bâ, 2008, p. 17). Therefore, Mawdo’s mother did everything in her power to separate the two, one of which included marrying him off to her brother’s daughter, Young Nabou, meaning that Aissatou would have “a co-wife” (Bâ, 2008, p. 31). This forced Aissatou to leave him as she did not want this lifestyle. Three years after this incident, Modou married Binetou, their daughter’s best friend, without Ramatoulaye having any knowledge of it, yet choosing to stay with Modou as a co-wife who never received any attention ever again.
