In 1996, Captain Derrick Robinson, Sergeant Delmar Simpson, and Sergeant Nathanael Beech were arraigned for their suspected involvement in one of the biggest sex scandals the United States Military had seen. According to CNN, between these three men, charges of rape and adultery were pending in a huge case of sexual misconduct against female soldiers at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland (CNN, 2996). Following this incident, the United States Military took it upon themselves to open a telephone hotline to encourage the reporting of similar harsh crimes. Furthermore, the spike in reporting influenced extensive research to examine the prevalence of rape against women soldiers in the U.S. Military (Titunik, 2000). This paper will explore the dynamics of rape against women soldiers in the military and the research done on its prevalence.
My research paper is on Dugway Proving Ground incident of 1969. The incident actually took place in March of 1968. What happened in 1969 was that President Nixon reaffirmed the “no first use, retaliate in kind” which became a national policy for the employment of chemical weapons. (Mauroni, Al, p. 33) The incident involved the killing of 6,000 sheep according to The Salt Lake Tribune. A deadly nerve agent known as VX had drifted off the reservation contaminating the sheep feeding area. The Army conducted investigations to show that they had nothing to do with the death of those sheep. At the end of the investigation it showed that they were not responsible for the incident. I am going to talk about the history of Dugway Proving Ground, and what cause the sheep to die. The people are blame the government for the death of the sheep, and the government is blaming ranchers. The government said the sheep died from the pesticides they sprayed to protect their crops.

Gina Meyers and Jill McDonough both illustrate a lack of control within the poems “Hold it Down” and “Accident, Mass. Ave.”. “Hold it Down” by Gina Meyers describes a long narrative of the problem, a lack of control, impossibilities and frustration in everyday life, while “Accident, Mass. Ave.” presents a narrative of a problem, a moment of loss of control, aggression and frustration in a single moment that happen on a specific day. Similarly the poems are long and include long enjambed lines disturbed by few short and small lines. Contrasting the poems are ordered and structured very differently.

Management has a system in effect that will monitor the claims process and keep it working collectively for all employees. Each quarter, management will review the existing policies and procedures for ethics training and reporting and suggest areas for improvement. The use of the website for reporting claims of misconduct can also be used as a suggestion box. A link has been provided so that employees can anonymously make suggestions for the improvement of the ethics training system. Any reasonable suggestions will be given the utmost consideration and will be implemented upon the unanimous agreement of management. Programs found to be ineffective will be removed. The removal or implementation of programs will be discussed in training sessions so that trainee feedback can be taken into account, as well.
There was inappropriate staffing in the Emergency Room which was a factor in the event. There was one registered nurse (RN) and one licensed practical nurse (LPN) on duty at the time of the incident. A confused man presents into the Emergency Department in a dishevelled and unkempt state, the nurse assigned to this patient recognises the following; the man is in his mid-sixties, confused and disorientate, anxious, has an acetone breath odour, also at examination locates a haematoma on the right side of his forehead while the patient also states repeatedly that he wants to pass urine. As acknowledged previously the nurse responded in an inappropriate manner therefore making a significant impact on the care of this patient for the upcoming shift, the nurse presented signs of neglect thus actions need to be taken to keep the patient safe with the best suitable care possible.
Smithville's police force wishes to increase "visibility" in town. The hope is that this will decrease crime rate. However, this would mean some significant changes to the operations of the police department. This arguement raises questions about the effectiveness of this new tactic.
A cigarette butt lies next to my foot, still emitting a trace of smoke. Nearby on the dusty asphalt a pigeon waddles self-consciously, bobbing its head as if pecking the air for some invisible food. A squirrel churrs a threat to his brother, challenging him to romp.

which was lesser than the promised proposed amount. On the other hand, the higher authorities showed great unwillingness in investigating about the authenticity of the incident. However, they immediately terminated the employees to avoid much defamation. .
In the story, “Sunday in the Park,” a happy and peaceful family had to leave the comfy park because they were taken out of their comfort zone. It all started when a boy named Joe threw sand at another boy named Larry. Which this led their parents into a confrontation. Then Larry and his parents would leave because of Joe and his dad. This story shows that people are different and have different situations going on. But they are going to have to figure out how to portray themselves correctly when they going into an argument. That was Bel Kaufman’s main purpose of writing this story.
