Milos Forman's Amadeus is wonderful, beautiful, unique and charming. I adore it, but not for my fixation on Mozart, because its beautifully/brilliantly made a piece of art.
What society finds difficult to understand is that the movie is Salieri's, and isn't about Mozart himself, nor about the composer. Amadeus emphasizes Salieri's obsession with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Though, Mozart is unforgettably played by Tom Hulce, that the viewer has no other option to think of him as the central figure. Amadeus highlights the comparison of the two geniuses; Amadeus Mozart is clearly superior, and Salieri, sadly, recognizes his inferiority, which drives him insane (Somewhat like The Prestige). If you have missed this little, yet big detail, re-watch the movie and you'll witness a completely different scenery. It's true that much of Mozart's biographical information is given, but the sole purpose of the movie is to highlight Mozart's "Godlike" abilities, that come so easily to him. We see how his life is affecting Salieri, driving him nuts. And one of the movies greatest scene, when we see Salieri his wheelchair, long after Mozart's death, still being affected

Actually, it's a quite difficult question, because naming the movie after Mozart's middle name, truly leads to thinking that he's the main character, but if that's the right way to think why, not "Wolfgang" or "Mozart"? Here comes the best part, pay attention to the connotative meaning: In Latin it's defined as "Loved by God." Isn't it brilliant? A magnificent idea/way to name the movie; Now lets explain it a little, throughout the movie there's a huge gulf between Salieri and Mozart, but there's one more detail, God! Why God chose Mozart and not me? Why is he special? It's obvious, that Mozart is loved by God, if it's shown through abilities and gifts. The word "Amadeus" doesn't stand for Mozart himself, but for a major theme expressed through the
...as he paved the way for composers of the Romantic period like Ludwig van Beethoven, Gioachino Rossini, and Franz Schubert. No one can doubt the finality that mirrors Mozart’s life in his final symphony and his final farewell.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, also known as W.A. Mozart, was a very well-known composer of the Classical Period as well as still to this day. Wolfgang Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 in Salzburg, Austria. He was known for his sonatas, symphonies, masses, chamber music, concertos, and operas. He set the standards high for all composers following in his footsteps.
In Breathless, Michel is portrayed as a dastardly yet sympathetic character whose fat death seems tragic and fitting all at the same time. The way the film is edited makes it so the audience feels some sympathy for him. He morality is unclear and slightly confusing, but that makes him cool. The way the camera focuses on him, the way he acts, the way he handles his cigarettes, the way he casually walks through life void of rules, and the fact that his actions are almost always accompanied by smooth jazz on the soundtrack, help elevate him. Michel Poiccard might not have much substance, but he has a lot of style.
The man with the most impact that changed history was Thomas Paine. He created a pamphlet called Common Sense . Not only did he have an impact he had a somewhat negative life. His burial was very awful. Paines beliefs in religion was different from other people. That belief caused him to create a book the age of reason.
The first scene of the movie shows a man walking up stairs in a very nice house. We do not know who the man is but we do know he is of high importance because of the way he is acting in the house. He walks into the house and immediately discusses plans with someone, then he gives his jacket to a maid to clean, finally he comes into contact with a beautiful lady. This first scene is extremely important because
Requiem for a Dream is a movie that was directed by Darren Aronofsky. It's a story about the decent in to the hell and torment of drug addiction; however, Aronofsky sets out to demonstrate both the seductive ecstasy of a high and the shattering anguish of addiction. Character development is the main focus of Requiem, which is shown through creative camera angles, precise editing, and brilliant acting.
Amadeus, the Tony-Award winning tale of 18th-century court composer Antonio Salieri's envy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is a mighty challenge for actors.
Amadeus is a movie based on the career and the death of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Viennese during the 18th century. Throughout the film Antonio Salieri tells his story of his growing hatred for Mozart that eventually led to his ?murder?. Through out the rest of the movie you can see where Salieri is getting even more jealous of Mozart.
...n do now is to die. And so he does. Although Mozart does suffer loss, the loss of his life and career, and is somewhat responsible for his downfall, he does not evoke sympathy or recognition. However, it is Salieri who contains all four elements of a tragic hero. Salieri loses practically everything he has faith in before Mozart appears. He suffers from the loss of dignity, esteem, and honor. Salieri also recognizes something he has never felt before, that is the “pain as I had never know it,'; (1,5), the pain from the beauty and delight of Mozart’s music. Thus, recognizing the limitations of his own talent, the mediocrity of his talent compared to the genius works of Mozart. He grows an awareness of disharmony in the universe that he has never encountered. Salieri clearly is culpable of his own tragedy. He is the Court Composer, his works are respected throughout Europe, and because he is not stupid, he does not say he is the better composer. Instead, he is the minority who actually appreciates Mozart’s music. There is definitely sympathy for Salieri, in that all human beings can work as hard as they want to at something and can still fail miserably.
He was a great young composer that transformed into a genius that was able to write music in the short periods of time he had during the day and was able to rewrite the musical rules. After being very successful in his early years, Mozart grew little older and started looking at things in a bigger picture. He tried to fit in on many different things including languages of others. The “Magic Flute” that was written at the end of his short life is known as the ultimate expression of Mozart’s ambition to connect with the human life and the human emotion through music as well as theater. At 25 years old, Mozart is no longer a prodigy but has not proved to be an amateur composer. In Provincial Salzburg is where Mozart is still living with his father and sister. Mozart is going to Munich because they have commissioned him to write an Italian opera in a serious style. Mozart’s father said he gave Wolfgang the advice to never neglect the popular style for the unmusical public as the musical ones. Leopold agreed to be Mozart’s middle man between the poets but he didn’t know that this would be his last detailed involvement in one of Mozart’s projects. Mozart’s father said they worked every day on the poems but Mozart was determined about something totally different than his father. He had problems with everything his father done. Whether it was too long or not dramatic enough, it would never suit his needs. His
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is often referred to as the greatest musical genius of all time in Western musical tradition. His creative method was extraordinary: his writings show that he almost always wrote a complete composition mentally before finally writing it on paper. Mozart created 600 works in his short life of 35 years. His works included 16 operas, 41 symphonies, 27 piano concerti, and 5 violin concerti, 25 string quartets, and 19 masses.
The Holocaust is one of the most dreadful and unforgettable time in human history. This event of a huge genocide has become the topic of many films; and “The Pianist” is one of them.“The Pianist” is a historical drama directed by Roman Polanski. Personally, I think this is a great movie that is worthy to watch. Through the realistic scenes in the film, the touching performances of Adrien Brody, and the unique way which the film was shot, Polanski has successfully brought the audience to experience the terror of the Holocaust and the hope and strength for survival.
Salieri was a noble, decent and a mature person. After his father died, God gave him what he needed and made him a court composer for the Emperor. He was simply a model of virtue for other people. “I kept my hands off woman”. This was said by Salieri and this quote also proves that he was respectful and an honored person. “Teaching students, many of them for free, sitting on endless committees to help poor musicians”. This quote was also said by the court composer Salieri. This quote tells all of us that he was a really nice person and didn’t want anything in return because God gave him what he needed the most. “Let me celebrate your glory through music”. This shows us that he was very dedicated to his religion and to God. “I was the most successful musician in Vienna”. Salieri was really happy when he knew he was the greatest composer of Vienna but when ever there is a good time for a person, there is also a bad. Salieri’s evil side took over part of his good side and this all happened when he arrived. The most famous composer named Mozart.
...director did not limit the film to its historical context but extended the same to romance and fantasy. From a different angle of view, the director made use of the theme to communicate with the viewers and the fictional characters can be considered as his tools. Besides, ample importance is given to historical and fictional characters. In short, the amalgamation of history, fantasy and romance constituted much to the film’s importance as a historical/fictional masterpiece.
What I believe the significance of this movie was that through music one can experience different feelings and things depending in the setting you’re in. That boy with synesthesia lived through the world by music. Synesthesia is a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense. Baby was left with a permanent hearing damage and to drown out the ringing in his ears he listened to music nonstop. Music was an escape for him and the music he listened to where all different artist that come from different cultures. Listening to music turned his life into a tap-along, exciting life type of way. When he gets coffee, it is like he adds a type of choreography on his way there and back while listening to music.
