Most of the millennials today are known to be born about after the 1980 through 1995. Today this generation is currently in the emerging adulthood phase, probably facing issues concerning instability in love and work, exploring their identities, and the feeling of being in-between an adolescent and an adult. In the media, millennials are depicted negatively, the most common portrayal I’ve heard is lazy millennials also many consider millennials impatient and know-it-alls. Due to their instability in love they are also considered the hook-up culture known for sleeping around and having sexual encounters. Raven Symone whose age is 32 immediately, feels offended and starts to state that we have many skills to offer such as researching, computer science, coding etc. Nicole Wallace age 46 responds and says “I love you but you’re generation is the most unemployed and underemployed in the country and it’s because you’re generation is wasting all their damn time on twitter.” The group continues speaking about millennials and the fact that many of us don’t have trade skills, Goldberg adding to this discussion, questions who will build the building back up when it falls down if millennials aren’t learning these skills anymore. This debate adds to the perception that millennials are lazy, according to this show they are wasting their time on social media and are learning the so called easy skills such as researching and not the hard skills such as an electrician or a plumber etc. This generation is not lazy, I believe social media has affected us in a way that entrepreneurship seems possible and that’s what many of millennials have been focusing on instead. Previous generations never understood this field, they don’t view it as realistically as millennials have because it never existed as much as it does now. To say that we all are unskilled is an overstatement, many of millennials are still studying these prestigious careers such as a doctor, lawyer, journalist, etc. and I have seen many young adults working in construction and have developed these trade skills as they
