January 14, 1998 in a military hospital in San Diego California I took my first breathe into this world and so began my life. I was born into a small family with a father, mother, and five year old sister who was not so pleased with my coming. My father was a brave and strong man who at the time had served about 7 years in the military. My mother was the total opposite being everything caring and soft. They complemented each other and were in my opinion a very happy and in love couple. Being that my father was in the military I grew up as any other military brat, with all the benefits of housing, the best education, and of course discounts. Since we attended the military base schools receiving the best education my father expected nothing but the best reflected in our grades. School came easily to me and I excelled in my classes to the delight of my father. However, it was this lack of effort that would hurt me in the future. My sisters, however both struggled in school which I never understood. It wasn’t until later we found out my youngest sister has a disability called dyslexia so she had to work extra hard in everything that she did. As the years gone by my classes began to increase in difficulty and my grades started slipping. I realized that life is not always easy and that I must work hard to achieve my goals. A little after this discovery I had decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. My choice incorporated everything I had witnessed and learned as a kid. My father taught me bravery and through the military he showed me that helping people is the right thing to do. My mother taught me to always be kind and showed me empathy all through my life. I decided I wanted to become a doctor in the medical field to help and heal others. My favorite subject is science so bringing together what I love as well as my characteristics I’ve obtained over the years I know I can be great at anything I
