Methodology of Research
The method that I will be using to research my area of sociology will
be a
structured questionnaire, it will be structured so that the candidates
stick to the
questions that they are asked and do not write about irrelevant
matters. I will first of
all produce a pilot questionnaire and send it round to a test group of
people, and
hopefully see whether or not I am able to obtain the relevant
information that I need
for my research with the questions that I have asked my targeted group
of people. If
the questionnaire provides me with my needed information, I will the
produce more
and send them out to a larger sample of people and obtain my primary
data in that
way. However if my questionnaire does not give me the sufficient
information I will
have modify my questions to get the sort of answers that I am looking
for.
Before I gave the questionnaire to my candidates I first of all asked
them if they
would not mind taking part in my questionnaire for my sociology
research. If they
agreed to take part in it I then briefly told them what it was about
and the sort of
questions that it would be asking them. So if they decided to proceed
with the
questionnaire I handed it to them however if they felt that after all
they did not want
to take part I respected their wishes and found another candidate. To
make certain that
the candidates are notified that the information that they give to me
is confidential and
will not be used for any other purpose other than my research I

In addition, our intuition is essential and at many times it provides us with guidance on how to make decisions. In order to effectively address a proposed research’s problem or research question(s), the researcher adopt a wide range of qualitative and quantitative mythologies (Berndtsson, Hansson, Olsson, & Lundell 2008). Some of these methodologies include interviews (Jones 1985), questionnaires, and surveys (Dawson 2009). Various qualitative and quantitative methodologies have distinct advantages and limitations which can be optimized if researchers correctly identify the most appropriate method for collecting a particular type of data.

Decision making is one of the most important aspects in life and work because of its strong link to success and effectiveness. Actually, successful people achieve their goals in life and work through effective and efficient decision making. The decision making process is usually guided by an individual’s beliefs, values, and attitudes as well concepts. While a person can use various concepts in making decisions, they should be very careful to select a concept that is effective and contributes to huge success. Nonetheless, these concepts exist to help an individual become a better decision maker in the world around him/her.
