Medical office managers in today’s healthcare environment are confronted with many challenges in an office. In a work place Medical office managers should be able to communicate with staff, patients, and to the public in a professional manner. Most managers believe that the way they communicate with people is the best way to communicate with patients. There are different ways to communicate with patients, physicians, and other professionals in the workplace. When it comes to handling a problem with a person the manager needs to speak to the person in a professional way in order for them to have control of the situation when it comes to a conflict. Not all people can be handled the same way and spoken to in the same way, because everyone has different solutions in resolving a conflict. A manager may have to resolve a conflict between co-workers in the office and may have to handle the situation differently between each person. Managers should not start yelling at their coworker because it will not resolve the problem it doesn’t look professional. There are Managers that thinks that yelling is going to help the situation but it really doesn 't. Yelling at someone may just create more conflict because a majority of them does not like feeling the way they are being spoken to like if they were a child. A manager has to separate the people that are in the situation and speak to them separately, because what may work with one person may not work in the other. Managers also have to know how to communicate with the patients/clients in their work

It’s long process to get this sort of job, at least with the University of Utah so when I finally went through the orientation, lab training, computer training, and community clinics I got to work and realized there was, even more, training. Every clinic has its personal preferences and rules, so I had to start from scratch with the training I already had. As soon as I got therenoticeI was a given a quick tour of the clinic and given all the rules, passwords and regulations. It was already too much to handle, but I was memorizing as much as I could.
