My primary goal is to become a Surgical Technician/Medical Assistant. I've done tons of research on the career and I feel it best suits my interest, my work ethic and my hunger for the expansion of knowledge. I plan on attending VCU for four years, majoring in Bio-Science. After receiving my Bachelors Degree I will exercise my studies and apply them to my future career at any hospital or medical center of my choice at that moment, such as CJW Medical Center (Chippenham Campus), or St.Mary's Hospital and etc. I feel VCU has what I need to succeed because of their very proficient MCV program. Approximately nine through twelve hundred students every year graduate under a major which involved the MCV program. The environment is very positive and
After comparing South Texas College, El Centro College, and Bryan College of Health Science based on my criteria of being a community college, admission requirements, and skills necessary, “ high school graduation, GED, and individual approval,” South Texas College would be the best choice on helping me pursue a career in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Working in an environment that helps parents have the privilege to see what they are expecting on their way is valuable. However, becoming a registered sonographer is not an easy task because you need to have patient and make acceptable predictions. In fact,to become a sonographer you need an associate or bachelor’s degree in diagnostic medical sonographer, and get the training needed to participate with patients “ hands on”.

According to the American Health Information Management Association, Health information is the data related to a person’s medical history, including symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, and outcomes. Health information records include patient histories, lab results, x-rays, clinical information, and notes. The data can be analyzed to see how a patient’s health might have changed. I took interest in Health Information Management when it was brought to my attention by a doctor. He told me that is a very interesting field and it is in high demand as they have more jobs than people to fill them. I went home, researched it and now here I am making my entry into the field.

I chose a career as a medical assistant because of the rewards I knew I would experience on a daily basis. Seeing a patient smile because I have helped them understand, or just making them feel comfortable with their visit, is just one of the many perks of my job. Upon graduating from an accredited college such as The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP), I now work for one of the most reputable hospitals in my area. Within two short years of committed studies, I obtained my associate of applied science degree, and then went on to obtain my certification as a medical assistant. There is nothing I have found more fulfilling, strong, secure, or rewarding then choosing to become a medical assistant,
Clinical Documentation Improvement ensures that their health care system provides the accurate recording of medical records. The health information management industry (HIM) thrives over the improvements towards clinical documentation as medical assistance validates healthcare and optimizes their medical processing system. Clinical documentation specialist (CDS) is essential in order to alter the medical landscape in a positive measure as they provide detailed documentation and medical coding. ...am also allows familiarity with common equipment and treatments, which is very necessary to students planning on going into the medical field. Exposure to different areas of medicine is very beneficial, as medical school does not initially emphasize on simply one specialization. I too would be a great asset to the program, as I am social, which is necessary to interact with patients, and I am responsible as well, which makes me eligible to handle expensive equipment that the hospital may own. Also, I do not get frightened at the sight of blood, which can potentially serve to be dangerous. The program also teaches certification in basic first aid skills, which are necessary regardless of what field a student may want to pursue. This program would be a great experience over the summer, and would also give me a chance to experience the life of medical field personnel.
If I had to look back at the elementary school version of myself and someone mentioned the word nurse to me my first thought was that is a girl’s profession. While I was interested in medicine I never knew much about the careers in medicine. I have two older brothers, one become a computer analyst the other a computer programmer and my father was a mechanical engineer. In addition, nobody in my family had been involved in the medical field so I had no one to turn to gain knowledge about careers in medicine. Naturally I wanted to follow in my family’s footsteps so I decided I wanted a career in technology.
For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me. Since I love sports I figured that this would be the career for me. A degree in Sport Management helps to prepare for success in sport related occupations.
When it comes to eliminating the abbreviations in the medical field, this could greatly reduce some of the errors that occur on patient charts and in other types of important paperwork as well. Many of the medical abbreviations are quite similar and can cause a bit of confusion among some of the personnel. A great deal of errors involving abbreviations can occur when medical staff are trying to rush while they are writing d...
So with looking further into all of the different criminal justice paths I could go down and with my love for science I thought being a forensic scientist would be the perfect job. After I’m done with college, my successful will continue. Regardless my main goal is to just be happy, and never have to struggle for anything. But, when I think about my future the first thing I always think about is the car I want. Which is so odd because I should be thinking about a place to live, and a family maybe first, then a car. But no, I want my all white Cadillac CTS. Depending on what year I get enough money to purchase this perfect car, I’m going to want to the newest year. Just so I can have all the newest interior and the technology. I want to one day, have a family and a decent sized house in a big city. I haven’t really decided yet if I either want to go into the FBI or just work for the local police station wherever I decide to live.
