Writing for the media affects our society in many different ways: entertainment, information, and even influence. Not only that, but the media is also one of the sources that can cause diversity and cohesion in communities as well. For instance, Michael Rosenkrantz who has come from overseas to write for the media in the Huffington Post, Himalayan Times, etc has written plenty of various things about foreign and disabled people. This has caused a certain positive effect on people he talks about and the audience. He writes about how “westerners really do care about other countries, that they are not ‘ugly Americans’ (Writing for the Media).” And what he did “to the People with disabilities who [he met and brought] to [the] westerners” to get an understanding of what the people are really like (Writing for Media).
