The McComb School District is a community school district committed to providing the best possible education to all students who live within the McComb community. Our future depends upon providing the best possible education to all of the children we serve. Therefore, we seek to develop a spirit of teamwork; individuals working together to attain a common goal of developing each learner to his or her maximum potential, in an environment that seeks to nurture every talent.

The board is committed to high levels of achievement for all students in the district. In the context of widespread concerns about the district’s educational performance, Superintendent Cederick L. Ellis, Sr. and the McComb School District Board of Trustees, completed a four-year strategic plan to redesign and transform McComb schools. The duties might include consulting with the principal, administering the school's mission and priorities, developing master course schedules, and implementing school programs and activities.
The school board goal is working to create an educational system where student success is inevitable and all students are cultivated to become fierce competitors in a global society. Collectively, they have the power to transform educational opportunities for our children. If not us, then who? If not now, then when? They must respond to the needs of the next generation of learners; giving them a fair chance to succeed, to compete, and to become world-class competitors. Our children deserve the best; we must stop settling for less than world-class. I feel that the board played a very important part in every child educational in there district. They must do there best to help that child to achieve their goal in society. Superintendent's is the main key communicators are a network of McComb School District residents who are interested in our schools and well-connected to the schools and/or the community.
