In 432 pages, Patterson tells a futuristic story about human-avian hybrids, led by Maximum Ride, who are running from the scientists who created them. This story taught me that anything is possible as long as you don’t give up and you believe in yourself. The theme of this book is similar to the lesson that it taught me: never give up on those you love and believe in your abilities to make the impossible possible. Now that I look back on this book, I think that it is quite repetitive. Between the fighting and random encounters, the book becomes rather predictable with few plot twists or major surprises. The kids would always encounter erasers and then somehow escape them in some major way whether it was flying, fighting, or blowing stuff up they escaped most of the time no matter how serious the situation seemed or how impossible the odds were. I truly enjoyed the variety of characters that the book provided me with. There was the dark and mysterious type, the diva, the natural born leader, the jokester, the little angel, and the big bad wolf. The characters overall were very interesting to read about and become familiar with, such as Fang keeping to himself most of the time and only opening up to those dear to him. The story was great but I felt it could’ve added more passas to it but i digress; the book was one hell of a ride *badum
The book had a few characters that I liked, but a lot of characters that I disliked. For example Yasmine was a character that I disliked. I didn’t like her because she brought pain to Paige’s life. Yasmine and Paige were best friends for months in Sixth grade. They were constantly doing fun activities together, like having sleepovers or planning each other’s birthday parties, but all that was ruined by a mistake Yasmine made. Paige and Yasmine were at a school dance, when
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
One theme the story leaves us is that always chase your dreams no matter how hard it is and if you fail just stand up and try again.
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
Max shouted,“Run, Run Run!” The book Maximum Ride Angel Experiment is written by James Patterson. Maximum Ride Angel Experiment is about a group of six kids who call themselves the flock and the oldest is Max who is fouteen and then its Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel who was six. The six of them are on the run from scientist which the six of them call white-coasts. The reason is that they have special abilities which are that Angel can hear people's thoughts and all of them can fly. This all started when the white-coasts took Angle and it took days to get her back, but they finally did. In doing so they found Jeb who was a father figure to all of them and sent them free when they were kept in School (the place where they lived and where
Pleasure, sorrow, and Curiosity are what these characters made you feel at the end. Each character had their own taste and style, it was like I was at a restaurant and each character was a choice on the menu, topped off with their own unique way. All these characters added their own twists and turn onto the ride and at the end Jane, John, Mustapha, and Edgar left me wanting more.
The theme of this novel is to look at the good you do in life and how it carries over after your death. The moral of the book is; "People can make changes in their lives whenever they really want to, even right up to the end."
It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way… the dreams will come to you.” To me, this statement means something. After reading this book, I can say I agree with this statement. I believe that working hard toward your dreams, then achieving them, will lead your life in the right way.
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
The first page I read i couldn’t stop and couldn’t put it down and I was addicted to the book. My favorite character is Violet and Finch but mostly Violet, I loved how she put things into words and how she explained her experiences. Since she was a writer she knew how to describe things and I liked her opinions. What I liked about Finch is how in love he was and how he described things with Violet in his life. Prior to Violet he was very dull for the little bit we got to see without her. One of my favorite parts in this book is Finch tells Violet she’s all the colors in one. It’s just adorable, “you are all the colors in one, at full brightness” (Niven
The book starts out with Alex Rogo who is the plant manager. Alex and his boss Mr. Peach have a discussion over the problems of the plant. This confrontation happened because there is an order that hasn’t shipped out on time. Alex must figure out a way to make the plant money or it will be shut down in three months.
For instance the description that the brain was, “pop-pop-popping “portrays the sensation that the brain is plastic; hence, it can be expanded through knowledge and perseverance. Also, the author cleverly uses the phrase, “I never knew a poet person” to emphasize lack of knowledge leads to false perceptions of reality. Jack uses the absolute word “Never” to describe his feeling. If one never thinks about the endless possibilities of success, then they will become their own culprit. The articulate, yet simple language of the author adds rich content to the story making it more relatable to all age groups. The novel instills the value of hope in readers. It encourages readers not to fear the unknown. Indeed with a growth mindset, one can beat the odds and live a meaningful
I really enjoied this book. Fantasy and adventure are my favorite genres to read and this book did not let up. The only problem I had with this book was the author’s writing style. Green often jumped from past and present on a whim, making it hard to track what in going on at which part of Nathan’s life. She also changes perspectives a lot from first person to second person a lot. These two constant changes makes the story confusing. I spent a bit too much time trying to figure everything out instead of enjoying the story
In life, most people always work hard and put forth their best effort to make their future life a success following the clique theme of never giving up. As characters grow in a story, they tend to learn that with dedication towards getting a better life it has to come with always pushing your hardest to get out of the struggles that they are in. In Michael Oher's, “I Beat the Odds”, and John Steinbeck’s, “The Pearl”, the two main characters never gave up to help themselves and their family while they both demonstrate that their determination to success paid off. Michael, the main character in “I Beat the Odds”, had a rough beginning to his life with not having a reliable mother to care for him and always living away from home similarly to Kino,
I feel that its adventurous setting and the conflict went together to create an amazing story. My favorite part of the story was when Dinah rides Morte, the hornhoove, out of the palace. I found myself on the edge of my seat wanting to read more and more. My least favorite part would have to be at the beginning when Vittiore comes as a surprise new member of the family for Dinah. I didn’t like this because I found it rude to anyone being adopted as Dinah was very rude to Vittiore. Aside from that part, I really enjoyed this novel. The twists and turns that Dinah went through really caught me on the edge of my seat. I found that the fact that they managed to escape the Black Towers without being killed amazing and surprising. I think that people who like action packed and adventurous stories will really enjoy Queen of Hearts. It has a little bit of everything. I laughed, cried, and fell in love with the characters in this story. In conclusion, I highly recommend this story for anyone looking for a fun and adventurous
