Teachers shouldn't be allowed to carry guns in school. What message are you trying to send to the students? It is acceptable to have guns wherever you go? "A bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." (is the quote from someone - if so say who if not take off quotes - i'm not sure I understand it). A young child will not be able to tell who which person is good and which one is bad because they are to seeing everyone with a gun.

A gun in the hands of an inexperienced person is almost as dangerous as the shooter him/herself. Yes, we can provide gun courses but that is just more money and time for the school to come up with. For a gun to be available for defense, it needs to be accessible. In order for a gun to be used, it has to be where the teacher can reach it. They will not be able to put it up somewhere safe because they will not be able to get it in time. We can not safely handle or afford to give every teacher a gun. …show more content…

Teachers already do not have enough time to do what they are supposed to do. They barely have time to go to the bathroom let alone have time to worry about a gun. Every child would become a potential victim of a gun accident since teachers would not have enough time to worry about the gun. A teacher could end up forgetting about the gun being out and someone else could grab it and shoots others intentionally or
