Ranking in order of most important to the least important; Maslow’s Hierarchy of need I believe is most important in healthcare. This theory focuses on motivation and personality using the ranking of needs, where by human beings are inspired by unsatisfied desires which needs to be accomplished prior to achieving a higher need. According to (Cutler 2014, pp.54), individuals are not only encouraged by the external factor such as rewards and reprimands but also by the internal needs. Rudimentary needs such as starvation, thirst, deprivation of sleep as well as the desire for safety, security, and protection from danger are the motivational desire to be first accomplished. For quality improvement, be executed in health care; staff of an organization has to observe to transformation by accepting new task that is challenging and will be an advantage of the society. Based on my experience as a nurse, I have noticed several health care providers making attempt to provide quality service by using different database for learning. Patient also realized they can suggest the type of treatment to use that works for them. Quality improvement is important to health care organization as introducing a process can help to eliminate unwanted expenses. Some organization incur unnecessary cost from inefficient system error or from undependable network resulting from miscalculations. According to Marlow’s need assisting a patient with the smallest things of life can support them long way. For instance, at my work place a patient walked in crying with the compliant of constipation; upon checking her blood pressure she was noted to have high blood pressure reading with no symptoms. I spent several minutes during discharge educating proper administration of blood pressure medication and its complication. Most patient in the community I work require daily education as they are unaware that simple things like inadequate fluid intake could result to dehydration or lack of the lack of sleep could lead to other major complications. The value of food, water, shelter safety are first need to be met in life prior to proceeding to next need of life. As a health care professional, to assist patient who visits the clinic simply for shelter due to the cold weather is my responsibility to support the patient accomplish that psychological
