7 months ago, on 18.12.2046, the eyes of millions of people were turned towards the sky when the rover of NASA, Nation, found intelligent life on Mars, found you. The startling discovery took place 43 years after the humankind launched the first rovers, Spirit and Opportunity to Mars. It’s the result of hard work of the best brains, who had one goal: to understand whether we are alone in the universe or not. We are coming in peace. Our main goal, in a nutshell, is to create long-term cooperation for the sake of saving the universe of all, from the damage of time. Our goal is to learn from you and in return give you from the data we have accumulated over the years. We are coming in peace. We do not want to change your lifestyle, or force our …show more content…
For this reason, and because of the tough conditions of this planet, this speech only taking place today. During the last seven months, since the first contact was established with the Nation, our experts have worked day and night to provide the basic conditions for a person to stay on this planet, even if this is a short stay. Today, the conditions do not allow me to stay longer, but I'm excited to see you face to face. In the recent decades, our planet as well as your plant is experiencing a horrible warming and severe suffering from a lack of resources. There for we see those days as s great opportunity for future cooperation and ongoing long-term. We are coming to peace, and I'm excited. I am excited for the future possibilities, toward cooperation, toward leapfrogging and to writing a new page of our common history, it is well known that two are better than one. Even a journey of a hundred thousand kilometers begins with one step. Our first goal was to reach you, and now we begin our second goal, hoping with you: to create a long-term cooperation in order to save the universe from the damage of time and
Not only is human connection vital to live a happy and joyful life, but it is necessary to create a legacy, and thus live on through others. But in order to do this, one must first overcome their ego and their sense of self. Once all of the “I” thoughts are gone, one can relate, but fully understand, the higher powers as well as other human beings around us. However, it is important to accept that we may never fully understand the driving force of this universe. While it can be experienced, and we can briefly get an idea of what it is, it is impossible to define these concepts in words, because we don’t have a language that transcends what we can understand. And though many recognize that these concepts could never be fully understood by the human brain, determined minds continue to ask questions that will never have an answer, “pushing their minds to the limits of what we can know” (Armstrong,
To illustrate, the effectiveness of the article, she ends with adding that perhaps there is life on these planets. The author ends the article using a rhetorical appeal of pathos to appeal the audience that believes in extraterrestrial life. The author tries to use professional effective rhetorical elements to persuade the audience into reading the article and becoming interested in the news. Even so, the argument is effective towards bright individuals because it makes one think about what it will be if there was actually life outside of
...; quest for new frontiers continues today as earthlings burst terrestrial bonds and begin the endless voyage beyond planet and galaxy into the illimitable dark.
There are an estimated 100 billion galaxies in the universe, and over 100 billion planets within each one, and yet humans are the only complex life forms that we know of, so what makes us so special? A Separate Peace, written by John Knowles, describes the relationship, coming of age, and general life of two boys, Phineas and Gene, while they study at an private high school during the war. The Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy on the other hand, was written by Douglas Adams, and it details the adventure of four intergalactic life forms as they journey to Magrathea. Knowles uses the once dysfunctional relationship of Finny and Gene to demonstrate how gaining perspective on another’s position is integral in maintaining life-giving relationships.
Over a 1950 summer lunch at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the great physicist Enrico Fermi asked his colleagues an unexpected question – “Don’t you ever wonder where everybody is?” Laughter went around the table as everyone immediately knew that he was talking about extraterrestrial intelligence [1]. If life arises fairly commonly, as Fermi believed, it follows that there should be advanced civilizations with the desire to visit and colonize Earth close enough to do so. However, there is no incontrovertible evidence of aliens on Earth, either now or in the past. This is called the Fermi Paradox. The lack of observational evidence for extraterrestrial intelligence is known as the ‘Great Silence.’[13]
[Intro:] This is it ladies and gentlemen You've made it this far It's time to get fucking real No more playing around This is MoonMan Giving it to you
Since then it has now been about 100 years Wells based his well-known story of human's first contact with extraterrestrial life. Now, in the 20th century scientists are starting to believe what was once a fictional story by writers now actually could be real, becoming the stuff of science. In 1994 scientists discovered fragments of meteorites which may in fact prove that signs of early life existed on Mars. Many of these meteorites are found in the Antarctica, extremely cold weathers aid in preserving and fossilizing the fallen meteorites for millions of years. In order for scientists to conclude that the meteorites are from Mars and contain signs of fossilized life or traces of it they must provide sufficient evidence to support their theory.
Is there such thing as life outside of Earth? The building blocks of life are carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen. Those ingredients condense to form all living things, new stars and even new planets! So, who’s to say those ingredients didn’t form other life on other planets? Think about how vast outer space is. There are millions and millions of other planets, stars and galaxies! It’s not that far out there to think that there might be other life in space, in fact, some people even have stone hard evidence that supports the idea of “aliens”. I personally believe there is such thing as extraterrestrials, and I believe they have visited earth before. As a child, I remember my dad and I would sit around all afternoon watching alien documentaries or shows about people hunting aliens and searching for UFOs. When it comes to aliens people have so many questions; have aliens been to earth before? Are they currently living on earth? Are they controlling us? Does the government know? If so, are they hiding it from the public? There are so many questions you can ask but, in order to answer them, you have to
Abstract: Scientists claim that other life forms do in fact exist based on probability. The conditions necessary for life are likely to be present on various other planets. Signs of possible life have been found in material from outer space. Much research has been dedicated to proving the existence of life on Mars. SETI is a program entirely dedicated to finding and establishing communication with extra terrestrials. If other life forms are found, communication with these beings will be a difficult task. Laws to protect humans from the dangers of extraterrestrial beings are already in effect. Although contact with alien beings has not yet been made, technology today may make it a reality in the near future.
... to tell anyone the outcome of the experiments on the International Space Station. It is a complex machine that may create fantastic results or become a large waste of time and effort, but until the world tries, it will never know which might be the most disappointing thing of all. For now, all anyone has is hope for a brighter future, and the chance that the International Space Station may bring them a step closer to that reality. “The orbiting laboratory serves as a symbol of our future. A future that embodies the dreams of our children and that promises untold discoveries for the next millennium. One that fulfills our innate human
There is never a one hundred percent assurance of any specie’s permanent survival on a planet. Therefore, instead of relying on Earth to house us forever, humans should look elsewhere. Scientists and astronomers believe that there may be as many as ten billion planets in the universe where conditions could support life as we know it (Space Communities). Living in these non-Earth environments would require manned space missions and future technology such as orbital habitats, slingatrons, space elevators, and th...
to achieve that goal, but rather just to set our faces toward peace, and act and speak
“Sheltered as we are by Earth's atmosphere and magnetic field, which deflect lethal radiation from space, we are like coddled children who have never ventured into a tough neighborhood” (Folger 2). Humans have been fascinated with space since the beginning of our time. Just like children and rough neighborhoods, we have tackled obstacle over obstacle to make it home again. In the end, we have a better knowledge and strength than before. The future of space exploration can assist us in answering the everlasting question of how the universe came to be. The more we explore the infinite galaxies, the more we can scientifically discover and create new technologies as science advances. As we continue to discover, we can create new fields and occupations for aspiring young students like myself.
that bond, that covenant of peace declares the objective fact that we now are at peace
Mars is a planet full of mysteries and wonders. Mars is such mystery to astronomers because of the craters and channels in the planet that may have once had water, or life. There have been missions to Mars, but not with humans. Astronomers have studied Mars enough to figure out the physical characteristics, the Composition and structure, and the moons of Mars.
