Marriage is a legal relationship that involves economic cooperation, sexual activity and childbearing. There are different categories of the marriage age. There is an early marriage age, average marriage age and late marriage age. The age range for each category is different from culture to culture. The marriage age is very important for the society because a lot of things can rely on the marriage age in different ways. The early marriage is most common for females than males for different reasons. Some cultures believe that the early marriage is best for females specially when the husband is older and can take care of all life expenses. Also, some times they will make it look like the dream for the young women.
This category of marriage age can cause a huge negative impact on the society. Also, this category can be considered as child marriage. The common issue in this category is the older man marries a very young girl. This issue has different reasons behind it. For example, some families marry their young daughter to a rich old man just because of his money. This could happen because of the family’s need for the money or that they want their young daughter to live a better life than she had with her family or many different reasons. Most families don’t realize that by forcing their daughter to make this decision they could destroy her life in many different ways. For example, it can leave the daughter with a very complicated psychological life. Also, this can slow or end the education of the daughter because of different barriers that will appear due to the marriage. First, the new life style she will be facing. Another possible policy change that could be made to improve the issues with this topic is having the age difference between the husband and the wife as least as possible. If their ages are very close to each other it can help them have a better understanding of each other. Also, they will have similar interests because they are from one generation. Also, educating parents about the risks of the early marriage on the daughter and her children because there are some countries that allow the early marriage with the parents’ approval. The marriage with the average age is most likely to be a successful marriage that leaves a result of a healthy smart family that remains longer.
