Marketing is the process of influencing voluntary exchange transaction in which one party to the transition can be envisioned or a customer of the other markets the marketing process involves communication requires a mechanism or system to carry out the exchange of the marketers product for something of value The management process through which goods and services move from concept to the customer. Collect and manage customer feedback in a centralized system: Having multiple feedback systems in separate databases is cumbersome and leads to duplication of effort. Companies now have access to technology-driven, real-time Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback programs. These solutions allow businesses to continually collect customer and employee feedback through multiple channels into a central database for analysis and immediate action.

Communicate and share customer feedback with others: Quickly distribute real-time customer feedback and SHAREreports and SURVEY data findings with others in your organization — from the c-suite to managers and employees. Openly share actionable insights with employees and conduct post-mortem meetings to discuss what did and did not work as well as what is needed to improve your VOC program in the future.

Wal-Mart earns the trust of its customers every day by providing a broad assortment of quality merchandise and services at every day low prices while fostering a culture that rewards and embraces mutual respect, integrity, and diversity. In 2006 the net sales were $312.4 billion versus in 2005 were $285 billion.
In general merchandise retailing, Wal-Mart’s primary competitors are Target and Kmart. Retail superstores such as Circuit City and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, also provide retail competition. A survey found that the majority of respondents favored Wal-Mart over stores like Target and Kmart. Respondents claimed Wal-Mart offered lower prices, better variety and selection, and good quality. The needs of consumers is an important economic feature in all competitive environments. What attributes (price, variety, quality, etc.) prompt buyers to choose one retailer over another is very important in the competitive landscape.
Walmart a name known globally they are a true empire. They are known as one of the largest company in the world. Sam Walton founded Walmart opening the first store in 1952 and Arkansas since then in has grown. According to Snyder Walmart is located in over 27 counties they have over a 11,000 stores and over two million employees. Walmart stands by the mission statement “We save people money so they can live better.” Walmart is known for is super low prices, and they compete with anyone who tries to enter their market. Wal-Mart stands as a global powerhouse and affects countless individuals around the world. This company is constantly receiving criticism from unions, human rights groups, small towns and small businesses. There are accusations of Wal-Mart treating workers poorly and driving small businesses out of business. However these accusations are false and over exaggerated. Wal-Mart offers families and low income individuals quality products at affordable prices. Their workers are paid competitive wages and are treated with respect. Wal-Mart opens their stores in rural and under developed areas. Wal-Mart improves the lives of the folks who live rural area and improves their lifestyles.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is in the discount, variety stores industry. It was founded in 1945, Bentonville in Arkansas which is also the headquarters of Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart operates locally as well as worldwide. It operated 1209 discount stores, 1980 super centers, and 567 Sam’s Club by January 31, 2006. It has also extended its operations to many international countries. It runs its retail stores in two forms: Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart Stores. The Sam’s Club sells assorted product lines such as hardwares, electronics, jewelry, and to mention a few. The Wal-Mart stores also offer similar products in addition to the following: health and beauty products, apparel for women, men and children, household appliances etc (www.yahoo.finance.com). Walmart is an American multinational retail corporation which is followed by the chains of great discount division store and warehouse store. Walmart is the world’s largest corporation in 2014. It has over two million employees throughout the world. The present CEO of the Walmart is C. Douglas Mcmillon. Walmart is a family owned business, which is regulated by the Walton family, who are over the 50% partner of Walmart. Walmart is the world’s most profitable companies.
However, Wal-Mart does not succeed in all aspects. Instead, it has been reported numerously for having uncaring and unprofessional customer service within its stores, which has decreased Wal-Mart’s reputations for being a proper designated shopping center for some customers. The purpose of our research is to decide whether or not Wal-Mart should integrate bi-monthly training programs for their employees, increase wages for existing employees, and if Wal-Mart should conduct electronic customer feedback surveys at each check-out counters within the two large Walmart retail stores located on S Duff Ave and Grand Ave in Ames, Iowa.
Walmart was created by a man named Sam Walton in 1962. Walmart was founded on the belief to offer reasonable prices and great service in one place. The employees are nicknamed “Walmartians” which makes them stands apart from any other company. This culture is accountable for a company of this magnitude to be able to endure an innovative spirit decade after decade. Walmart has been connected with the achievement of other companies over the years. They also have many lawsuits, overtime policies violations, and been held accountable for thrashing other companies.
Every company depends on an efficient marketing program to fulfill customers' needs. Marketing is a process of finding out what the customer wants and meeting those requirements. Within the company, the marketing group has to consider customer values and customer satisfaction before considering offering a product. Marketing is part of our everyday world, and can be perceived everywhere and every time. At any time, everyone has been exposed to different kinds of marketing or advertising depending upon personal necessities such as T.V commercials, radio, internet, etc.
