The book Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi is about Marjane and how her childhood was like growing up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution.Persepolis brings a style to the autobiography narrative for the story.Satrapi draws in black and white to show that it’s not just a color,it means something to the author.The drawings help us understand the text more and the story.The black and white symbolizes both the past and the Islamic revolution history.It’s difficult for Marji to express herself while growing up in Iran because she's growing up at a time where western culture was being threatened.In the beginning of the book Marjane is just a young girl still stuck in her childhood,but in the end of the book one can tell that Marji has definitely grow
