Marilyn Monroe: A Timeless Icon of Style and Beauty “Some things fall apart, so better things can fall together.” Marilyn Monroe (MM) is the GOAT from the legacy she left behind. Speaking for women, letting her opinions be heard in entertainment worldwide. From fashion, beauty, acting, and music, this “blonde bombshell” paved the way for women and children everywhere for a better and brighter future. Marilyn wasn’t always the icon she is today, though she was born June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles. Her actual name was Norma Jeane Mortenson, later taking her mother’s surname Baker. Marilyn Monroe’s father was later confirmed with DNA after she passed away. It’s hard to say what happened to her; it was ruled out as an overdose, but it is believed she was murdered for her scandal with John F. Kennedy. She died at the age of 36 on August 4, 1962. She had 3 husbands, James Dougherty, Joe DiMaggio, and Arthur Miller. After her first divorce from James Dougherty, her career took off. Marilyn Monroe being the idol she is, has had numerous achievements in her life. These accomplishments are what sets her apart from everyone else in her line of work and as a whole. For example, one of her most famous accomplishments is her 3 Golden Globes. She was nominated 4 times but only won 3; these were “Best Actress” in 1960 even though she was nominated in 1957 and “World Film Favorites” in 1954 and again in 1962. Another award MM won, was a David di Donatello award for her movie The Prince and the Showgirl. This was when she had her first big break and everyone loved her. Finally, this led to her gaining her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. Her actions have helped children, parents, and communities. Even when the door is shut, she is always a good person. Some claim that other people are the GOAT favorite athletes, artists, singers, and more. No one thinks of the field of entertainment really. It’s all over the article: Michael Jordan is the GOAT, Lebron James is the king, Willie Nelson is the greatest of all time. However, even though all these other people are very talented when it comes to charity, success, background, and who the person is, Marilyn Monroe smokes them all. When she sees a problem, you better believe she knows the solution. She was determined and she never let anybody stop her from rising to the challenge. Plus, MM saved an abundant amount of children even though it touched her own trauma. She knew someone needed to make a difference, and she did.
