Marilyn Manson and Society
Brian Warner, best known as Marilyn Manson is known for his crazy, out of the ordinary, rebellious image. He is known for putting on unforgettable performances on stage and has some of the most outlandish stage antics. When he first started out, he called himself the "God of Fuck" (The Golden Age of Grotesque: Marilyn Manson's Most Shocking Moments). With proclaiming himself with this title, one can only imagine just how controversial Manson can be. Marilyn Manson has a wide array of fans as well as a wide array of people who do not support him.
Some of his crazy stage antics include simulating sexual activities where Manson's guys will come behind

Perhaps one of the most controversial topics Manson has faced is being associated with the massacre at Columbine high school. After the shooting happened, an organization called Citizens for Peace and Respect, made up of churches, the families of Columbine, and local citizens, were on the mission to prevent the negative influence of Marilyn Manson. Citizens for Peace and Respect even gave away free tickets to an amusement park one time in hopes of keeping children away from Manson's concert. The organization says that they do not think it is completely his fault that the massacre happened but states on its online FAQ that "If his message of hate and violence is promoted in our community, we are afraid that we will see more people bleed, both physically and emotionally" (Protests in Denver over Marilyn Manson Gig). They also stated that "Manson promotes hate, violence, death, suicide, drug use, and the attitudes and actions of the Columbine High School killers" (Protests in Denver over Marilyn Manson Gig). One man that was hurt from the massacre, Mark Taylor Jr., spoke out and said "Kids, when they go to these concerts, they look up to these people, I admire the people I listen to” (Protests in Denver over Marilyn Manson Gig). Dale Todd, a father of a child who was hurt in the shootings, said "We need to stop worrying about what comes out of our children and we need to start worrying about what goes into them" (Protests in Denver Over Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson. He may have created a hug name for himself in the music industry, but he was also charged with sexual misconduct. The charge was filed by a security officer after allegedly accused of rubbing his crotch on the officer's head. Manson was charged with misdemeanor
Once there Manson met Rev. George Powers who had him sent to Boys Town near
As a child he was sent to many reform schools. He has spent the last four decades behind bars. He will never get out prison. He will eventually die in prison. This is the life of Charles Manson. Charles Manson is a sick and cruel criminal.
The Life of Billy Joel Billy Joel was born on May 9, 1949 in Bronx, New York. He moved at the age of four to a small town on Long Island. This is where at the ripe age of four he discovered the art of music. Originally a classical music fan, Billy Joel honed his skills with classical piano training. This undoubtedly has had a major influence on his life and certainly his music.
Premise The writer and filmmaker, a moderately aggressive champion for liberal causes is as always-challenging America's gun culture with his latest endeavor, the documentary "Bowling for Columbine." "Bowling for Columbine," was awarded the Special Prize of the 55th Cannes Film Festival. It had already made history by being the first documentary chosen to be part of the official festival competition in almost 50 years. There is no getting around the fact that "Bowling for Columbine" is a provocative, controversial film that is going to make a lot of people angry. But the work claimed by the author is an honest expression of what he and the general public sees and believes. I am not inclined to soften what I do to appease those whom I must beg for money in order to do my work. "Bowling for Columbine" is my personal view of America at the turn of this new century. It is not specifically about Columbine and, no, it is not about bowling. My favorite quote I read during the festival was, "This film will single-handedly guarantee that George W. Bush will never see a second term." Well, one can only dream. After all, it is just a movie. Micheal Moore When "Bowling for Columbine" was announced as the Oscar winner for Best Documentary at the Academy Awards, the audience rose to its feet. It was a great moment, one that I will always cherish. They were standing and cheering for a film that says we Americans are a uniquely violent people, using our massive stash of guns to kill each other and to use them against many countries around the world. They were applauding a film that shows George W. Bush using fictitious fears to frighten the public into giving him whatever he wants. And they were honoring a film that states the following: The f...

The Long Hard Road out of Hell is an autobiography that allows us to temporarily enter the frontal lobe of the creative persona known as Marilyn Manson. Following the childish antics of the once innocent Brian Warner, the book gives us insight to the creation of the Pseudo Satanist, "Antichrist Superstar" we all know as Marilyn Manson. The grotesque life of Brian Warner is both disturbing and fascinating.
Furthemore, Smith and Alvarez explain, “Ronnie Radke was the life and soul of the party. He would become intoxicated every night with numerous substances and was sent to jail for four years in 2008.” The act committed proves that the actions of one individual affect the image of others. Many band members commit violent actions or consume numerous type of drugs leading to prosecution or addictions. It is not all about drugs and alcohol or illegal actions. Many have a view that all band musicians are bisexual or homosexual. In a personal interview with Julisa Venezuela a high school band member suggested, “Not all members who play in a band are sexually attracted to the same or different gender.” Julisa indicated that the biggest stereotype is that many believe whoever is in a band is either bisexual or homosexual. Yes, the biggest society group who has more people who are attracted to the same gender are band related individuals, but that does not indicate everyone who plays in a band is
Michael Jackson is a good dancer and a good singer. My three main points are how he got started, songs, and how he died. How he got started. He was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary Indiana.
By 1990, Marilyn Manson became Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. Manson was singer, Daisy the lead guitar, Gidget Gein as bass, Madonna Wayne Gacy on the keyboards (he replaced the original keyboardist: Zsa Zsa Speck), and a drum machine. They opened for NIN, and Trent was very impressed with them and would help them in the future in many different ways.
Visual images projected by the band use death, grotesque rotting flesh, evil countenances and androgynous sexuality to shock and revolt. At one concert a hermaphroditic Manson dons a gas mask whose air supply is attached to his two guitarists’ penises. If a fan cannot get to a concert, they need not fear. Simply load Marilyn’s latest album, Holywood, into a computer and those with an Internet connection are treated to a multi-media presentation of a human brain being removed in an autopsy. Like a Sam Rami horror movie, the viewer cannot quite believe what they are seeing and watches with the same rapt fascination reserved for a train wreck or airplane crash. It is hard to imagine that this is anything more than an act, but the Church of Satan takes it seriously. The Church made Marilyn Manson an honorary Reverend saying that he is “the most satanic performer in popular music today,” (MTV News). This dubious accolade seems to fit Manson fine, as he currently prefers to be addressed as “Reverend.”
He uses this method to not bore the audience and keep them engaged on the issue. For example, at the 47-minute mark of the film, Moore questions why the shooter’s of Columbine were violent, and interviews Marilyn Manson, an American rock musician, as well as Nicole Shleif and Amanda Lamontagne, who were students at Columbine High School and in the same bowling class of the Columbine shooters. Manson expresses his views by addressing that Americans want to put the blame on him for the shooters actions because, “[He] promote hate, violence, suicide, death, drug use and Columbine-like behavior…"(Moore). As for Shleif and Lamontagne, they explained that the shooters in their class were, “Not very social, just kinda kept to themselves” (Moore). Afterwards, Moore takes these interviews and to try to explain why America has a higher rate of shooters than other nations. He applies satire such as, “Why wasn't anyone blaming bowling for warping the minds of Eric and Dylan to commit their evil deeds? Wasn't that just as plausible as blaming Marilyn Manson? After all, it was apparently the last thing they did before the massacre”(Moore). Moore states this and uses satire and logos by providing irony to the situation to show how illogical it is to blame Manson for the shootings at Columbine because it would be as equivalent to blame bowling for the shootings at Columbine. He uses these devices to question the audience, as well as giving them relief of the heavy situation. The shooting at Columbine is a very serious and sensitive issue and although Moore uses satire, he makes sure he uses it with respect to not offend
In 1992, the newly formed rap duo, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope of the Insane Clown Posse, started a movement within the music industry without knowing it. Their outwardly explicit lyrics and clown gimmick somehow touched the souls of the community that started calling themselves "Juggalos." The music of the Insane Clown Posse brought this group of misfits and scrubs together within the Juggalo community, which can best be described as a family. However, in 2011 the FBI classified Juggalos as a "loosely organized hybrid gang" ("2011 National Gang Threat Assessment"). Due to this classification by the FBI, the Juggalo community has been in distress. The members of ICP, Violent J (Joe Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (Joey Utsler,) decided to sue the
Being on the cutting edge of bizarre, alternative music is an elite privilege, complete with buzz words to exclude the mainstream. The music makes or breaks the scene. One rave deejay explains to Rosen and Flick (1992), "A great rave or techno record is like a religious experience. A bad one will give you a headache
In Bowling for Columbine, the film was made to let people know about gun control and the affects it would cause if they didn’t. Michael Moore wanted to go around asking different types of people if they supported gun control or not. His main goal was to get specific reasons from people as to why they stood for that decision. He himself went to inquire about a free gun that he spotted on one of the advertisements he was looking through. Michael Moore wanted to make sure as to why people have different views on gun violence and if those decisions really affected them in any way. People who didn’t support gun control had their own reasons which made Michael Moore wonder as to why people are afraid that they need a gun for themselves when there’s so much security around everywhere such as the police. Through the film, Michael Moore wants to inform everyone that gun control is important because many are affected by the violence.
