INTRODUCTION

A manager is someone who is accountable for directing and planning the work of individuals, constantly watching their work and work need, monitoring their actions and taking appropriate action when necessary. A manager takes up various activities in an organisation like monitoring the employees, supervising them, setting up goals which are in favour of the organisation and set tasks that help accomplish these goals. A leader is a very important part of the organisation; an organisation can not work effectively without a leader. Leadership is defined as “The art or process of influencing people so that they will strive willingly and enthusiastically towards the achievement of group goals” ( Harold Koontz and Heinz Weihrich).

Great leaders make the workers feel that the work can be completed in ease, they replace anxiety with motivation and help direct the work to reach the goals. A leader in times of crisis, steps up and acts creatively to bring a solution to solve the problem. An excellent example of leader is Jeffrey Preston also known as Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO of Amazon.com. He is a pioneer in universe of web business, and was instrumental in characterizing this space is currently characterizing numerous parts of the web world. It is Jeff Bezos who advanced the idea of "prescient analytics"–recommending items to consumers taking into account the search history and purchasing habits. Even though the concept was faced many criticism, his idea has made online commerce a more efficient and profit making business.
