. The information from each angle is fed into a computer, which then creates a black and white picture that shows a slice of a certain area of the body – much like looking at a single slice from a loaf of bread. Mammogram
What is a mammogram
A mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast. Doctors use a mammogram to look for early signs of breast cancer. Regular mammograms are the best tests doctors have to find breast cancer early, sometimes up to three years before it can be felt.
What a mammogram shows
A radiologist will look at your mammogram. Radiologists are doctors who diagnose diseases and injuries using imaging tests such as x-rays. When possible, the doctor reading your mammogram will compare it to your old mammograms. This can help show if any findings are new, or if they were already there on previous mammograms. Findings that haven’t changed from older mammograms aren’t likely to be cancer, which might mean you won't need further tests. The doctor reading your mammogram will be looking for different types of breast changes, such as small white spots called calcifications, lumps or tumors called masses, and other suspicious areas that could be signs of cancer.

Although there is no early detection test for mesothelioma, there are several tests that can be used to help in making the diagnosis of mesothelioma, including a chest x-ray, a CT scan, or an MRI scan. A chest x-ray yields an image of the lungs that will show many types of abnormal changes. A CT scan is a type of x-ray, but it uses a computer rather than film to create detailed images. An MRI scan uses magnetism, radio waves, and a computer but does not utilize radiation to create a clear image. These tests help your doctor differentiate mesothelioma from other lung tumors as well as determine where the tumor is and its size. Your doctor may need to remove a tissue sample from the tumor or draw fluid from it to confirm it to confirm the diagnosis.
Symptoms women often start noticing that indicate the possibility of having a cancerous tumor in the breast include a lump on the underarm or armpit, thickening of the nipple, fluid (not milk) leaking from the nipple, change in the size of the nipple or breast, changes of color, shape or texture of the nipple or the areola, and unusual pain in the breast or in the armpit (Stephan., 2010). Cancer is the term used to describe a group of diseases consisting of hundreds of ailments and although there exists so many different types of cancer, they all begin in a similar way. The body is made up of over a trillion cells, and cancer is the uncontrolled growth of malfunctioning cells in the body (Dawson, 1996). “Normal body cells grow, divide, and die in an orderly fashion. During the early years of a person’s life, normal cells divide faster to allow the person to grow. After the person becomes an adult, most cells divide only to replace worn-out or dying cells or to repair injuries” (American Cancer Society, 2012).
Why is this important? Mammograms don’t prevent breast cancer, but they can save lives by finding breast cancer as early as possible (breastcancer.org). It is important to assure the conditions that the person can remain healthy. Screenings for breast cancer helps find cancer early. When it is shown early, it is often treatable. More people will live longer than expected. For instance, mammograms have been shown to reduce the risk of dying from breast cancer by 35% in women over the age of 50. In women between the ages of 40 and 50, the risk reduction appears to be slightly less. (breastcancer.org). Mammograms is an X-ray picture of the breast. It is important to get mammograms once every year. The earlier, the better a person can get rid of the cancerous cells in their body (Levana, 2014).
The purpose of this paper is to describe the diagnosis and staging of cancer, complications of cancer, the side effects of the cancer treatment, and methods to lessen the physical and psychological effects of cancer.
Your breasts will be throughly examined for any lumps or suspicious areas. Any changes around the nipple or the skin of your chest will be noted and have more tests done if needed. Your doctor will also do a complete physical exam to judge your general health and whether there is any evidence that the cancer may have spread. If your physical exam suggested breast cancer then you will end up doing some additional tests to find out what kind of cancer it may be. There aren't many ways to free yourself from Breast cancer unfortunately. The two way you can treat Breast cancer is surgery and radiation therapy. Breast cancer can also be treated with medication, which can be inserted orally or through the blood, Several different types of treatment that may be used are chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy and bone-directed therapy. Many women will receive more than one treatment for the cancer. Most women with Breast cancer will have some type surgery to get the tumor removed, depending on how bad their cancer is at the time. The people who help with the breast cancer removal are a Breast surgeon, which is a doctor who uses surgery to treat cancer, a radiation oncologist, which is also a doctor who uses radiation to treat cancer, and a medical oncologist, a doctor who uses chemotherapy and other medicines to treat the cancer. Here are some question you should ask your doctor, “Will you be able to have children after my treatment?” “Will you need a blood transfusion?” “Then there is also a very common one its called Lung Cancer, but there are two types of lung cancer, One of them is small cell lung cancer (SCLC), which is sometimes called oat cell cancer about 10% to 15 % of lung
To understand more about this disease I did a research on it, and according to the National Cancer Institute: “Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph system”. Also, there are more than 100 different types of cancer. Cancer is not a single disease, but a group of related diseases.
Cancer has become the one of the most feared things for human beings. The various type of cancer have been discovered and there are still a lot of it that undiscoverable. Cancer is a complex disease that have a group of disease. The cancer itself cannot be describe by words. The causes of this cancer is still not being able to be discovered fully. There are only minor factor that can lead to this disease. The carcinogens are believed to be one of the causes that lead to cancer such as asbestos, radon gas, tobacco, PVC and much more from our chemical industries. The environment especially near to the industrial that produce chemical waste can be one of the causes lead to cancer. Cancer also have relation with our age, lifestyle, and diet and also can be genetically inherited. It is believed that older people have higher tendency to get cancer than younger people. Our lifestyle and diet also plays a role causing a cancer by our daily life routine. Smoking tobacco and eating unconsciously (still in research) can also increase the possibility to get cancer especially lung cancer that cause by smoking tobacco. There are several cases, cancer were inherited from their parents. Various type of viruses such as HIV, HPV, EBV and many more virus has a high capabilities to increase the chance a patient to get a cancer because these viruses lower their body immunity to disease.
Ways to early detect would be self-breast exams at home, annual mammograms and genetic testing for the BCRA1 and the BCRA2 abnormal gene. It has been said that when people are tested for the abnormal gene and are found to carry it, it is normally passed from either parent. Not only do women develop breast cancer, but men are also at risk. If detection is caught early enough there can be a high survival rate. Some symptoms and signs are a lump, change in size or shape of breast, nipple pain, discharge or bleeding of the nipple, change of skin color and texture, or breast becoming swollen or feels warm. It is advised to seek medical attention upon discovery of signs and symptoms. It can possibly allow a better treatment option for
Cancer occurs when cells divide uncontrollably. Cells keep dividing even though new cells are not needed. Change from normal to cancerous cells requires gene alterations. Altered genes and uncontrolled growth may lead to tumors.
Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and begin to invade other tissues. The term cancer is also used when cells start to produce too quickly when there are not enough cells dying. Cancer cells are also called malignant cells. The medical field of oncology is very important to many, if not all Canadians. According to Canadian Cancer Statistics “Almost half of all Canadians (41% of females, and 46% of males) will develop cancer in their lifetime and a quarter of all Canadians are expected to die of the disease.”(Canadian Cancer Society’s Advisory Committee on Cancer Statistics,2013) This makes the advancement of medical care, and the abundance of caregivers in this field very vital in combating this deadly disease. Cancer occurs when cells in the body malfunction and reproduce uncontrollably. It can affect anyone young or old and can be found just about anywhere inside the body and even on the skin. Oncology is defined as the treatment and study of tumors. Cancer

The reason I believe that prayer should be acceptable in school because people should have the right to believe in whatever religion they want to. Also our government was based upon religious beliefs in the first place. I am a devoted believer in God even the Supreme Court state that we are religious people. The first amendment does not rejects God but supports religions. Congress always allowed a prayer to be in government and if that then I don’t understand why it cannot be in schools.
