What constitutes a hero? There can be many situations where a person is deemed a hero. Doing something that is risking yourself, but for the benefit of others is only one example where people automatically believe you are a hero. As a result of this, anybody can be heroic if put in the right time and place. However, this rarely happens and most people need to obtain something that benefits themselves in order to do a heroic act. People are not born good or bad, but they have the capacity to do either. People can be good if they are brought up in a community that affected them in a personal and positive way, and bad if they were brought up in a community in which people negatively affected their personal ways of thinking. An example of this is Malala Yousafzai. Malala was born on July 12th , 1997, and lived in a small town called Mingora, Pakistan. At the time, girls in Pakistan were not allowed to go to school and were forced to stay home all day. As a result of this, Malala decided to take action against this injustice and started to fight for girls to be able to receive an education. The Taliban eventually figured out what she was doing and surrounded her on a bus that she was coming home from school on and shot her right in the face. Malala had to be immediately rushed to a hospital that was located in the U.K and she made an amazing recovery. Nevertheless Malala still keeps fighting and, hopefully, one day girls in Pakistan will be able to go to school.. People everywhere are fighting for what they believe in and everyday changes happen.
