Malala Yousafzai made a change in the world when she stood up for everyone to get an education. Some people may not agree that girls should get an education but Malala still does what she thinks is right. All girls and boys should get an education.
Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan. As a child, she became an advocate for girls' education, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school. After recovering she got the Nobel Peace Prize. Till this day she stands up for women's education. They did not like that she was an advocate for girls education.She took a stand for all girls around the world to get an education. That’s taking a stand because not all people believe that girls should receive an education.
Malala spreads awareness for girls in villages who do not go to school and learn how to read or write. She believes all girls should go to school and receive the education that they need. When these girls grow up they will become leaders in our future, and they will build the world that we live in. Malala chose to mark her 16th birthday with the world, she said “No child should have to die for going to school. Nowhere should teachers fear to teach or children fear to learn. Together, we can change the picture.” Malala is very important in History, she sets as a role model for those who will become leaders and spread a message they strongly believe in. Malala is not like any other person in history. She does not only set an example for the time she lives in but those after. When we look at people in history, we see what they took a stand for. Whatever they did take a stand for, has brought a change in the world we live in.
