She is a very nice and kind person, that tries to put others before herself and puts out her shoulder for anyone to cry on. Her life will be shared to show how strong of a girl she is to go through things not many people have to go through. Makenna was born in November 11, 2000, in Renton, Washington. Not so long after, her and her family moved to Wisconsin to live closer to her grandmother. As result, during her childhood she grew up in Ladysmith. Make it through high school, through college, through medical school, and to a career. The college that she wants to go to is in Washington. The reason she wants to attend there is because, quite frankly, she feels that she doesn’t fit well in Wisconsin. Also, she went to visit family down there in 6th grade, and there was nothing like the skyscrapers and the mountains in the same place. It made her feel at home in a state. She learned that Washington has a wonderful forensics program, and not many kids want to go into the same field she does so she has a pretty high chance of getting in. Wisconsin bores her, Makenna is interested in more cities like sights, and all Wisconsin really has is cows and corn. She wants to go to schooling to become a forensic pathologist and graduate with straight A’s. Then her goals would be to bring peace to families of murder victims. “It may sound weird, but sometimes it helps to know how someone died, and it's comforting to know if they went peacefully.” she says. Adding on to more goals in her life, even though she doesn't want any kids, she’d like to definitely get

When most people think of Texas legacies they think of Sam Houston or Davy Crockett, but they don’t usually think of people like Jane Long. Jane Long is known as ‘The Mother of Texas’. She was given that nickname because she was the first english speaking woman in Texas to give birth.
One famous quote from Barbara Jordan is “If you’re going to play a game properly, you’d better know every rule .” Barbara Jordan was an amazing woman. ... education. Katie firmly believes that schooling is her children’s only escape from poverty. She is not embarrassed that Francie’s knowledge surpasses her own, instead she pushes her daughter to work harder. Kaite’s constant pushing results in Francie’s acceptance into a college university. At any point in time, someone’s world can be turned upside down by an unthinkable horror in a matter of seconds. On June 20th, 2001 in a small, suburban household in Houston, TX, Andrea Yates drowned her five children in a bathtub after her husband left for work. The crime is unimaginable, yes, but the history leading up to the crime is just as important to the story. Andrea Yates childhood, adulthood, and medical history are all potent pieces of knowledge necessary to understanding the crime she committed.
In the great story of a young girls triumph over poverty, rejection and innumerable failures as a child, she will unfortunately never truly prosper as an adult in the world in which she lives. Our protagonist, Sara Smolinsky who is the youngest of the four Smolinsky girls, has the most motivation in life to be independent, and fend for herself. However to achieve this goal she would need to break loose of the family chain and peruse a life elsewhere. It appears she has done so as she runs away from home seeking an education. Six years or so go by and she has more than fulfilled her dream of independence, however as members of her family take on life threatening sickness she once again feels the need to come home, and falls back under the spell of family obligation. As for other characters in the book, the same problem with familial duties always interferes with what one truly wants.
She would mostly be alone and sit by herself being buried in books or watching cartoons. In high school she attended a program for troubled adolescents and from there she received a wide range of support from helping her get braces to helping her get information to attend community college. (59) Even with this she was already too emotionally unstable due to her family issues and felt like she couldn’t go through with her dreams to travel and even go into the art of culinary. She suffers from psychological problems such as depression and worries constantly about almost every aspect in her life from work to family to her boyfriend and just hopes that her life won’t go downhill. (60) Overall Kayla’s family structure shows how different is it now from it was in the 1950’s as divorce rates have risen and while before Kayla’s type of family structure was rare now it is becoming more common. This story helps illustrate the contributions of stress that children possess growing up in difficult homes in which they can’t put their own futures first they must, in some cases, take care of their guardian’s futures first or others around them. Again, this adds into the inequality that many face when it comes to being able to climb up the ladder and become successful regardless of where one
July 7, 1865 Mary Surratt was hanged for her suspected part in the killing of Abraham Lincoln. Mary Surratt should not have been executed. Surratt had conspirators that defended her and she also maintained her innocence throughout the trial.

As I searched over the numerous website and psychology books trying to figure out who to write on for this research paper I stumbles upon a famous quote that captures my attention swiftly.
Once enrolled in a local nursing program at Ohlone Community College, Mary started to work towards her goals of becoming a nurse but reaching them did come with hardships. Mary never let anything get to her because her family never gave up their motivation. " I wanted a better life for my family and I wanted to be somebody". Mary realized that going to college wasn't just for her but it was for a better future for her family. At Ohlone community college she continued to pursue her dreams of majoring in nursing. Another thing Marry struggled through was juggling school and in work now that her classes were more rigorous. "I was more responsible for my future because I was the one working to pay for my education". Gladly, Mary was able to mature and find a way to organize her schedule to balance her life
At age seven she was a star on stage, singing the role of "Becky" in the Tom Sawyer operetta. When she was ten she dunked "Mouse's" head in the teapot as the "Mad Hatter" in Alice and Wonderland. She was hoping to be "Alice", but even back then the eighth graders got all the good parts. But the experience was satisfying anyway because "Mouse" was played by her grade school rival, the same girl who competed with her for the best position on the basketball team and who once made a better pot holder in Home Ec.
