Make A Wish is an incredible organization that runs off the people to make dying children’s wishes come true. Make A Wish wishes help children fight harder against their illness. For others Make a Wish completes the child’s dying wish before their death. Make A Wish is a non-profit foundation where you get to make a child’s dying wish come true. Chris Greicius was like every other seven year old with a dream; his dream was to be a police officer. However Chris was diagnosed with Leukemia, and was probably going to die. In the young republic 's search for stability they needed to cover many bases politically, socially, and culturally.
I think I may want to learn and expand more of topics of illness and disabilities as both have not only been a part of my life, but of all my family members lives as well. Cancer especially is a great worry for my siblings and myself, as it has been such a prevalent issue for us, even since we were little and my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even though he was able to be cured and is alive and well today, it is still an extremely real and serious issue we may have to deal with ourselves in the future.
Life changing disabilities can be either a singular condition, or a combination of conditions, that can drastically change the course of an individual’s life. In most cases because we are not an island, this disability can make stronger bonds within the family, or break-up a good family foundation. These disabilities can be anything from a physical impairment to mental or intellectual issues. This can touch all members of the family, including the extended family members as well as the community.
Every single wish is not needed because they are not essential things needed. For example: even when Mr. White states that he has all he needs and yet he still wishes for 200 pounds. Since this something he does not requires then he faces the evil consequences. Because of his second wish is not something he needs and therefore does not happen like he planned. This goes to add that not everything people desire is necessary.
Make A Wish got founded in Phoenix, Arizona on April 29, 1980. The founders of the foundation are Scott Stahl, Frank Shankwitz, and Linda Bergendahl-Pauling. When I was 15 years old I joined my high school’s first committee to hold an American Cancer Society Relay for Life. All school year long I had pranced around the cafeteria handing out flyers with a picture of a little kid with cancer and advertised for our event. These poor kids are so sick and need to have money raised for them to find a cure so that no one would have to suffer like that. No one really needed to be shone the pictures or told the story, they had all seen it before on television in commercials, but we reiterated it once again, we hammered in the idea that these images were the literal definition of sick.
I think about it very deeply. Then I have made my mind. My three wishes are to be 18 already, stay strong forever, and never get sick again.

On July 25th my family and I met at Faith Community Church around five in the morning. The big day had finally come. The day we were going to help the citizens of Ferguson, Missouri through the nonprofit organization Convoy of Hope. The city of Ferguson that was known for protesting was given a chance of hope that day. There was a total of forty churches and one-thousand volunteers in the St. Louis area that came to the event to help supply food, clothing, and haircuts for the citizens. In addition, with the help of many charities and donations, the city was also given over thirty-five thousand pounds of food. That day my church group and I were on a mission to make peace, and bring exhilaration to the community.
An “American Dream” is different for every person, and there is likely not a single dream that is the same. I imagine my dream with a husband, pets, and comfortable home in a place where the weather is nice during the seasons. To live in a home near the beach in Hawaii is my goal. I want to be able to visit the beach every now and then, and be able to walk outside in only shorts and a tee shirt and still be warm. I want to look out my window and have a beautiful view of the place that I call home. If I do not live in Hawaii, then I would undoubtedly settle for Minnesota since I have lived all my life here and would enjoy staying. For a living, I want to do something in the medical field, such as a physical therapist or an athletic trainer.
