In our lives, we have to choose between different courses of action every day. Think about the last time you made a major decision. In Romeo and Juliet, the characters make different major decisions based on their maturity and emotions. Emotions can make people not think and act rash without thinking of future consequences. Maturity can cause people to act with prudence. One of the major decisions made by Romeo is fighting Tybalt. Another decision made by Friar Lawrence was marrying Romeo and Juliet. Another decision was Romeo and Juliet’s suicide at the end of the play.
When Romeo decides to fight Tybalt, his decision is affected by his emotions and his maturity. Before Romeo fights Tybalt he states, ”And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now”
