On a tedious Thursday afternoon, the body of an extrusive racketeer named Fannin was found at Ernie’s Lunchroom by police officers. A testimony of the only witness, the proprietor and the only employee, Ernie has said “The murderer had leaned against the wall while firing at point-blank range”. There is also one imprint of the supposed homicidal murderer on one of the walls and the cash register had just been rung up at $8.75. The police believe that person C is the murderer from the hand position of the utensils/hand positions, the relation among persons B, D, and E, and the identification of the Y and X footprints. The victim of this heinous crime is also controversial and the media are portraying Fannin as a criminal due to his reputation of racketeering. Maybe Fannin did deserve what came to him but still the public ought to know the real culprit without no prejudices from the media.

Bricklayer’s Boy is a story about a father and son and their working lives. The Narrator, or son, grew up in a blue-collared household, with a father that was a bricklayer. By his early 20’s, his father already had a wife, a career, two sons and a house. His father was the son of an immigrant, and believed in working hard so that his sons could get white-collared jobs and have an easier life. The narrator had other ideas though, and decided to become a newspaper reporter. His father didn’t understand this decision because he expected him to make as much money as possible. When the narrator was offered his first job at a daily paper in Columbus, Ohio, his father said, “Why can’t you get a good job that pays something, like in advertising in the city, and write on the side?” “Advertising is lying,” the narrator replied, “ I wanna tell the truth.” His dad continued to push advertising in the weeks before he moved, until one night he came home with tape and bubble wrap and helped him pack to move.

With hindsight comes insight. When looking back at experiences, connections, and meanings can reveal themselves to us. That then provides a greater depth of understanding for that experience, providing assurance of if we make good choices despite harsh judgment. In the essay “Working at Wendy’s”, the narrator Joey nurtures his understanding for what it means to work a low-end job and to understand that people can’t be judged fully on their current career position. I too have had similar experiences where over time and with past reflection, I have noticed and understood things differently than I did in the moment. I want to describe how and what Joey learned as he progressed in his work at Wendy’s, then describe my own similar experience, then
On February 1st, 1960, in Greensboro, North Carolina, four African-American college students sat down at a whites-only lunch counter. They asked for coffee, and were refused service. Still, the students waited patiently to be served. They were threatened, and intimidated, but they did not leave. This sparked a wave of sit-ins all through the South. Sometimes the students were beaten, and many times they were arrested. Once the students at the lunch counters were arrested, a new group took their place. The SNCC was created in response to this, which stands for the student nonviolent coordinating committee, and they organized sit-ins and other protests all over the country.

Taking a seat at the lunch counter, I tried to mentally prepare myself for what was in store. I placed the headphones on my head, my hands on the table, closed my eyes and was greeted with an affirming voice:
I walked into the lunchroom, and they handed me my lunch tray. They gave me a scoop of orange looking spaghetti with 3 meatballs that were the size of a tennis ball. The school should change the school lunch menu because the food looks raw and like different color, also the food looks disgusting, and its really bad for your health. I believe they can change the schools lunch preparation.

“Ponch”. Some people know Ponch from the 80’s show CHiPs, however this was not the case for me. When I was a toddler, I used to get my speech mashed, creating random gibberish words that no one would understand. Not only were my words nonexistent, but I as well sounded ridiculous, every time I spoke I jabbered like Courage the Cowardly Dog trying to speak to his owner. Whenever something broke I used to say the word “ Ponch” to describe it, it took years for my parents to finally understand what “Ponch” meant.
Many people wants to know how come we bring our own lunch to school. The school lunch isn't good to start off plus it doesn't even fill you up. I know the schools think they're helping with obesity and unhealthy, but not everyone is obese or unhealthy. Hirst answered that artists used what around him or her, and money was around him. Therefore, he thought that what he could do with money, and he could do something amazing with them. Consequently, he created For the Love God. What should be spotlighted is the point that an artist creates his or her works with materials, which are around them.
