gets to bring whatever they want to eat. Why can't they be stuck here all day and eat this school food, they would have a huge problem with it. Right when lunch is over and the students ate or either still hungry gets into the classroom to smell something so good. That would also mess with with a child's mind. School lunches are supposed to guarantee students a well balance meal, so they can have the energy to proceed with their classes throughout the day. Meanwhile, students who receive a f...
In other words, the food is not delicious and there are not many choices. Also, when children don’t get proper nutrition, they have trouble focusing on school. Most students do not buy lunch because they feel it is unappealing and do not like the food served. Many students go to other kids and ask for food. In addition, many students do not eat breakfast, so they rely on lunch to fuel them for the day.
“More than a third of the county's children are overweight or obese.”(Gustin, 1). As shocking as this is, it's true. One of the big reasons that children and teens are overweight is because of the foods that they eat. They are fed these fattening and unhealthy foods by the school system. Their futures can be changed if we change our choices. Having more nutritious lunches can have a positive impact on the health of American teens.
The shocking truth about our school lunches is that they are not health for young kids. The meat most schools use K.F.C and Campbell soup refuse to buy such meat. This shows that school lunch is not very health for kids if fast food won’t even use it. Schools are also

I’m sitting in class, its 11:25, and two more minutes until my favorite part of the day. The bell rings, the class rushes out, I briefly think about the poor souls that have second lunch and must wait another hour until they eat, however that thought passes quickly because I’m at my lunch table with all of my friends pulling out my sack lunch. While many of my lunch buddies wait in line to get school lunch, usually some nachos, a burger, or pizza, some of us also pull out a sandwich and snacks from home and start chowing down trying to make the most of our half hour off from learning. We often times catch up about high school drama, play games on our phones, and interact with all the other students at lunch, occasionally not to our pleasing. But most lunches we have fun and we leave feeling full and ready for our next class.

Some students have practices and games after school, and if they didn’t eat anything for lunch then they aren’t going to perform their best. This will also encourage kids to bring snacks to class. If a student is snacking in class the they are not focussing on the material at hand. This also affects the way they act to other students. Studies show that students have a shorter temper if they are running on an empty stomach.
Listen up for this surprising statistic. More than one in three middle school students who regularly eat school lunches are overweight or obese. They are furthermore expected to have high LDL "bad" cholesterol levels than kids who bring lunch from home. The school system is slowing hindering our children’s health and setting them up for an extensive range of future health complications. The school lunch program offers limited nutritional value and is overloaded with processed foods. Our kid’s health and wellbeing should be top priority. Research shows that healthy eating habits help improve concentration and memory, classroom performance, and overall health. The education system is one of the top influences in our child’s life. They should attend school and know they are being provided with not only a top education but also food that fuels their bodies to contribute to their success.
I think I speak for everyone who has gone through the public education system when I say "School food sucks," its not something every student wakes up excited about in the morning, and many would much rather bring their own lunches to school than endure that gruel the lunch
With the new food plan students will not go to class hungry or unsatisfied, making them able to function well for the rest of the day. My Economics Teacher always told the class “ Smell good, feel good, feel good teach good” and in this case it would be “ Eat good, feel good, feel good, learn better. Every day in the U.S. students come home from school hungry. It could be because they didn't like the lunch that day or that there wasn't enough to eat. At lunch, I noticed, that some kids just sit there and don't touch their food. Sometimes that kid is me. If students are that hungry shouldn't they be able to go home and grab something that they will actually eat and not just through away and waste the food provided?
