Many things have contributed Puig Doria success. Puig Doria has a vast understanding in the design of jewelry, however he accepted help from craftsworkers to bring his ideas of designs to life and free up his time in other aspects of the business. This enabled him to manage other facilities, not just focusing on the administrative production process only. The delegation of duties lowers the encumbrances of the business and creates flexibility on the production end. Puig Doria was also very innovative when it came to designing jewelry, he knew what was going to be trending and the season for the demand. This gave him an extra hand over his competition, which provided him with profits. This is obvious when he presented his new collection of …show more content…
Puig Doria was very anal towards the production of high quality jewelry and the relationship between the design of the jewelry and the environment it was being viewed at.. Puig Doria in 1971 created high quantity economical silver jewelry designed for the United States and West Germany. This was a successful attempt as he managed to export an ample amount. However his plans were messed up by an employee who worked for him that was counterfeiting his products and reselling for his own benefit. This lead to the opening of retail outlets in other countries which sold designs exported from Barcelona his home country. It also led to the opening of the store in Geneva which was later closed due to lack of a management. C. Itoh was a company in Japan that dealt with trading. In an attempt to expand their margins, a decision was made to find a jewelry supplier, so Puig Doria was chosen. The metal director of C. Itoh in Madrid was in charge of setting up meetings which were later ended before leaving in 1983. Puig Doria was allowed to export the jewelry to C. Itoh under one condition, that was Daimatsu would choose the jewelry and sell it to the …show more content…
The controller of the process in this relationship is Daimatsu. Control in this case is when the company imposes the rules and procedures for this specific relationship. This is because the company noticed how Puig Doria decide how spread throughout the Japanese market. The main objective of Puig Doria was to establish a market for their designs in Japan and Daimatsu was anxious with making a profit from the whole process. After looking at the reports done on the Japanese market, my view is that Piug Doria is on the positive side of reaping benefits from their relationship. This is because the designs from Puig Doria would be changed in Japan at a slower rate, but in the long run the gain would be to Puig Doria. Genuine advancement has been made in the purchases by Daimatsu that were being tested in the Japanese market. In August 1985, Villar and Puig Doria discovered that Puig Dorian designs would be responsive in the Japanese market. This increased the confidence in Villar even as Puig Doria established retail outlets in Nagoya. I would recommend that Puig Doria abide by the strategy Daimatsu has in line with increasing the response rate of Japanese to the Spanish

In comparison to other slaves that are discussed over time, Olaudah Equiano truly does lead an ‘interesting’ life. While his time as a slave was very poor there are certainly other slaves that he mentions that received far more damaging treatment than he did. In turn this inspires him to fight for the abolishment of slavery. By pointing out both negative and positive events that occurred, the treatment he received from all of his masters, the impact that religion had on his life and how abolishing slavery could benefit the future of everyone as a whole; Equiano develops a compelling argument that does help aid the battle against slavery. For Olaudah Equiano’s life journey expressed an array of cruelties that came with living the life of an

In the year 1775 my life was turned upside down. I was born in Manhattan, New York, in the year 1760. Life was wonderful for my first 15 years. My father owned a print shop and his business thrived. Everything started to change when my brother, Abiel, and father, Jonas, left to join The Continental Army in December of 1775. Britain's power over the Colonies was troubling many people, including my dad. My father had always complained about the how the Stamp Act affected his business negatively and that the British are no good. When he joined the army, he had to sell off the shop to another family and left my mother and me with a dilemma; how would we support ourselves and our family? At the time of his departure I had a sister named Amity who was nine and a baby brother who was almost one. I had always assumed I would live in wealth until I married. However, nothing was guaranteed. I realized I was going to have to put in lots of effort to get my life back to how it was before, if that was even possible.

In the poem “Determination” written by Stephen Dobyns, the poet gives an account of a man finally beginning to prepare to write his first novel after the many “tedious years” he endured of “doing the taxes of strangers” (19-20). Typically, this would be a respected occasion, and the poet emulates this idea to some extent. However, he also strategically employs a multifaceted tone regarding the actions of the character in the poem. Looking past the deferential, celebratory tone that lies on the surface of the poem, demonstrated through the thoughts of the speaker, the tone of the poet himself is dismissive and detached. By means of certain poetic devices and other literary techniques, the poet conveys his attitude toward the character in the
In “The Fish” by Elizabeth Bishop, the narrator attempts to understand the relationship between humans and nature and finds herself concluding that they are intertwined due to humans’ underlying need to take away from nature, whether through the act of poetic imagination or through the exploitation and contamination of nature. Bishop’s view of nature changes from one where it is an unknown, mysterious, and fearful presence that is antagonistic, to one that characterizes nature as being resilient when faced against harm and often victimized by people. Mary Oliver’s poem also titled “The Fish” offers a response to Bishop’s idea that people are harming nature, by providing another reason as to why people are harming nature, which is due to how people are unable to view nature as something that exists and goes beyond the purpose of serving human needs and offers a different interpretation of the relationship between man and nature. Oliver believes that nature serves as subsidence for humans, both physically and spiritually. Unlike Bishop who finds peace through understanding her role in nature’s plight and acceptance at the merging between the natural and human worlds, Oliver finds that through the literal act of consuming nature can she obtain a form of empowerment that allows her to become one with nature.

What we noticed is that due to Control's relative inexperience and lack of understanding of joint venture, James was recalled only after completing one third of his contract length, to be replaced by a relatively inexperienced employee from Singapore (Jimmy Chao). Controls Asia Pacific, in doing so, ignored the fact that they might threaten the success of the joint venture. This case shall try and analyze what factors may have caused this pull out to occur, what may be its consequences, and what we feel should be done, in order to reinstate trust and confidence to make the joint venture a success.
