Fairly low-budget, although it might require some on location shooting. Love Run is an extremely saccharine, love story, populated with cliché simplistic themes; life is beautiful, love conquers all, live every moment to the fullest, the world is a mysterious and serendipitous place, ect. These themes are handled in a trite and shallow and someone insensitive manner—everyohe he encounters is either a helpful friendly European, a wise, down-to-earth local, or a ruthless criminal. Foreign and 3rd world locals are portrayed as universally quaint, and are populated with western stereotypes. The idea of someone making this monumental feat for love is somewhat appealing, but it this script it seems wholly unnecessary. Furthermore the relationship between the two lovers is not well-developed, complex, or meaningful enough to care about. While we see Alex ostensibly struggling while running in a variety of conditions, he overcomes major obstacles with ease, whether swimming across the Mediterranean while wounded, or bravely attacking armed Egyptian kidnappers. Furthermore help and wisdom is literally always around the corner—things never really seem like they won’t work out for more than a page or two. There is also A LOT of screen time devoted to Alex running—unless the scenery is truly breathtaking this will definitely get

The main idea is to be yourself, not to change for someone else. In the beginning, Alex lived in Quill, a place where you could be anything but yourself. If you showed creativity in any way shape or form, you had an infraction. At age thirteen, those with infractions were Unwanteds, depending on how serious the infraction. Quill believed that all unwanteds were eliminated in the Great Lake of Boiling Oil- Even the high priestess. When Alex was “eliminated” he was welcomed by Marcus Today, and the world of Artimè, where creativity was embraced and taught- pretty much a polar opposite of Quill. Alex becomes good friends with 3 other Unwanteds, Samheed, Lani, and Meghan. They were all really close- until they all began Magical Warrior training- all except for Alex. Alex pulls away from the others for a while, until eventually he starts training himself. The whole group was really brought back together after the battle with Quill.
Act 1, scene 5 is one of the specific scenes that show one of the main ideas of the play, which is that you shouldn’t give up hope, even when the darkest of times are coming and this is shown through the attitude of Anne, as well as Mr. Frank, throughout the play. First off, this scene takes place on the first day of Hanukkah, which is a jewish holiday in which jews celebrate the event of Judah becoming the leader in place of Mattathias. This holiday is celebrated by singing songs, giving gifts, lighting candles, and reading prayers. The Franks, the Van Daans, and Dussel were jews, Dussel still not knowing Hanukkah, so they were accustomed to celebrate the holiday, despite the lack of things to give and the fact that they couldn’t be very noisy because they were

The meaning of life and the true meaning of happiness can be pin-pointed simply by: Grow up. Get married. Have children. These three ending sentences form the basis of the main argument in “About Love”, an excerpt from “What Our Mothers Didn’t Tell Us: Why Happiness Eludes the Modern Woman” by Danielle Crittenden. Crittenden does not limit the use of her emotional appeal to repeated use of terms like “love”, “friendship” and “independence”. One of the strongest qualities supporting the thesis of “About Love” is Crittenden’s ability to use both connotative and denotative language. Crittenden goes on to say “Too often, autonomy is merely the excuse of someone who is so fearful, so weak, that he or she can’t bear to take
In the story, Alex conveys courage by risking his life when he escapes the crate onto the heavily guarded ship and looks to go and disarm a bomb, nicknamed the “Royal Blue”, that was intended to kill thousands of people. By the end of the story, Alex changed a great deal throughout this whole

The Lais of Marie de France is a compilation of short stories that delineate situations where love is just. Love is presented as a complex emotion and is portrayed as positive, while at other times, it is portrayed as negative. The author varies on whether or not love is favorable as is expressed by the outcomes of the characters in the story, such as lovers dying or being banished from the city. To demonstrate, the author weaves stories that exhibit binaries of love. Two distinct types of love are described: selfish and selfless. Love is selfish when a person leaves their current partner for another due to covetous reasons. Contrarily, selfless love occurs when a lover leaves to be in a superior relationship. The stark contrast between the types of love can be analyzed to derive a universal truth about love.

Love is a word that’s been both miss-used and over-used all at once. Romantic movies change our definition of and have a big impact on this definition greatly. There have been many movies and novels made over love, but never like this. “The Notebook” is a love story about unconditional love that two people have for each other. This emotionally, heart touching story will have your eyes blood-shot and burning from you not wanting to blink your eyes. This tremendously wonderful love story will have you not wanting to even miss a millisecond of this heart throbbing film. With many plot twists and many scenes that will have you falling off of your seat and you not having any nails by the end of the movie, this is the movie for you. This emotionally rich film is full of action, laughter, and romance, which is the perfect trio combination. This movie shows us how love can bind us together forever. This film went above and
The patient was able to bypass his condition and find a way to succeed at the task before him, just not in the “normal” way. Schechter states “it was not united via the kinds of interactions that we assume characterize the workings of a single mind” (Schechter, 2015). There is a movie that I remember from when I was around 10 years old about the first Seeing Eye dog in the United States called “Love Leads the Way”. The dog’s name was “Buddy” and the movie documented the uphill fight to get guide dogs recognized and accepted in public places. One of the final scenes was a challenge in Congress where the aisle up the center had been intentionally cluttered with chairs, trash cans and anything else that they could find.
