Adoption options in Louisiana for same-sex couples are extremely limited. The Louisiana code provides, “A single person, eighteen years or older, or a married couple jointly may petition to adopt a child through an agency.” This means that gay and lesbian couples may adopt individually. The code explicitly states that for a couple to adopt they must be married. Gay and lesbian couples cannot legally marry in Louisiana, as it is strongly against public policy. Therefore, they cannot jointly adopt a child legally.
Elmore Gymnasium is located behind the knight complex, and also behind the Alabama A&M University football stadium. The Gymnasium, informally known as “The Dog House”, has been the permanent home of Alabama A&M men’s and basketball since it was built in 1974. Over the years, the bulldogs have made this one of the toughest places in the country for visiting teams to leave with a victory. Although 25-year head coach Vann Pettaway ended his career in 2010-2011, he leaves the bulldogs homestand at a outstanding 290-64 victories in T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.

New Orleans was founded May 7, 1718 by the French Mississippi Company, under the direction of Jean- Baptist Le Moyne. It was ruled for 40 years by the Spanish and bought by the United States in 1803. By the 1900s New Orleans was the birthplace of jazz music in dance halls and clubs. In 1940s young musicians such as Charlie Parker steeped in the sounds of jazz music. Also during the 1940s jazz musicians were looking for new directions to explore.
The unique type of language found exclusively in Louisiana is referred to as Louisiana French. This language is found mainly in southern parts of Louisiana. Louisiana French breaks off into two other subcategories: Cajun French, and Louisiana Creole ("French", 2012). These two subgroups may share the French language, but it is important to recognize and understand the differences between the two. Along with their origins, Cajun French and Louisiana Creole also take diverse aspects of the French language, in order to form their own exclusive version ("French").

Univers is a grotesque, san serif type family, started by Adrian Frutiger in 1954. The acclaimed, French type foundry, Deberny & Peignot released Frutiger’s finished font in 1957. Univers had a profound impact on the landscape of topography and graphic design. It is a good example of excellent Swiss design and emulates neutrality and refreshing charm. Univers was initially, purposely based off and preceded a late 19th century san serif type called Akzidenz Grotesk.
Since I was young, there is something electrifying about receiving mail, and this was amplified when I would receive mail from my future home. I would jump up and down if anything related to Oklahoma State University was addressed in my name, even if it addressed bursar or something routine. While receiving this mail, I never stopped to think about the individuals that created the cards to make me feel so happy; however, while job searching, I found a wonderful internship that takes place right here on the Oklahoma State campus. This internship is for creating flyers and images for future students. Job searching is not an easy task; however, Oklahoma State’s Hire OSU Grads organization creates a straightforward and accessible way for students to find jobs or internships. I have found an internship that would be great for furthering my experience in the work world. In this internship, I would be working directly on campus in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I would create graphics, mail flyers, brochures, and post on social media. In addition, this internship would help me grow as a business major; I would be able to obtain
