The logo represents a combination of self-perception and social-perception. Although they represent my diversity, the whole emblem links up in a chain like structure. The steps to creating the logo, the outcome, and what I plan to, or hope to do with my logo helped my understanding to who I am as a person. The first time this project was introduced to the class I immediately started forming ideas. I once dreamt of having my own business and at one point created a logo for my fake business. The excitement ran through my body with this project because it provided me a way to express myself. That same day my grandmother and I shopped at Michael’s crafting store my logo started to conceive. In the store the creative flow poured out in an overwhelming amount …show more content…
The outline of the logo is Montana and California intertwined into one state. My home state is Montana and I currently reside in California. The heart within Montana represents where my story began, and the bird represent myself. Birds nurture their young, but eventually the baby bird set out on their own to care for and find themselves. On the logo, I portray myself as a baby bird, set free ins search of my destiny. The bird also ties into the sky background. When perceived by the human eye, the sky is limitless. My paradigm may perhaps fit into the metaphor of unbounded opportunities. The mandala is full of colors that for some reason or another attract my eye and quickly grab my attention, but it also signifies my social perception. Many people color mandalas and various designs for therapy or coping mechanisms, and as a stressed individual, relaxation is something I strive to obtain. The last bit of my logo is the quote. This is something that came off the top of my mind. Dancing is my passion and life is always about moving on to the next part of life and enjoying the chapters as we go
There are three methods of persuasion when speaking or writing to an audience: Ethos, Logos, and Pathos. Ethos uses a type of socially recognized authority as its voice. Logos uses logic and reasoning as its tool. Lastly, Pathos uses emotional attachment. For instance, the advertising industry primarily utilizes Ethos and Pathos reasoning and qualities, particularly a Matthew Mcconaughey Lincoln Motor Company commercial, and a Safe driving bonus check Ally Insurance commercial.
Nobel Prize winner, professor, author and economist, Joseph E. Stiglitz, wrote “Of the 1%, by the 1%, for the 1%.” Joseph E. Stiglitz served during the Clinton administration as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers and is former senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank. Throughout his piece Stiglitz argues how America’s economy is not likely to succeed in the future. Stiglitz creates a strong and credible argument throughout his piece by using the appeals of ethos, pathos and logos.
One image ATR uses to convey their goal is their white and purple emblem. The emblem is located in the top left hand corner of their web page, and appears on every page of their website. It is a very straightforward logo that reads “Americans for Tax Reform”, making the organization easily recognizable, by literally branding the organization. This helps the ATR organization because most major, and well known organizations and companies have brands. The font is simple and easy to read and although the image does not have many rhetorical appeals, the color purple ...
Inside out is a movie about a girl named Riley Anderson who is born with five emotions joy, sadness, fear, disgust and anger. These emotions are housed in Riley’s mind called headquarters. Each emotion plays a very big role in Riley’s life because they chose how she should feel during every second of the day since she was born. As riley got older things changed and her parents decided to move to San Francisco. Moving to a different state and city really made Riley’s life go downhill. Riley’s emotions fear, anger, disgust, and sadness were put into effect when she realizes she has to start a new school, and make new friends. Joy is displayed as a character who take charge and is always happy. For example, joys doesn’t like when other emotion
The rhetor of the article, For many restaurant workers, fair conditions not on menu, uses several rhetorical elements to construct her argument and build upon her ethos. She uses logos to expand her credibility and ethos, as well as to make her pathos statements more rational. She appeals to the reader’s sense of American patriotism and freedom to try to sway the opinions of the reader. The article’s main argument is that workers in the restaurant industry are being unfairly treated with their minimum wage.

Clinton uses logos to support her ideas on how to run the country. Logos is the appeal of using logic to assist a statement
For example, when Joe Louis won the boxing championship: “Champion of the world. A Black boy. Some Black mother’s son. He was the strongest man in the world” (107). Angelou uses logos in this quote to show the audience that Louis is a champion boxer and that he is a hero to the African society. The society is delighted to hear that Louis is declared champion. Also, segregation is seen as a symbol in this chapter. For example, when Angelou talks about slavery before the fight: “This might be the end of the world. If Joe lost we were back in slavery and beyond help” (106). This quote is also conveying logos because Louis is the person who represent the African American community and if her were to lose, its as if they lost everything and would go back as being slaves. This gives the audience facts about that society back in the late
Strength of Argument: Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. Bell Hooks’s essay, "Keeping Close to Home", uses three important components of argument (ethos, pathos, and logos) to support her claim. Hooks develops her essay by establishing credibility with her audience, appealing to the reader’s logic, and stirring their emotions. She questions the role a university should play in the life of a nation, claiming that higher education should not tear a student away from his roots, but help him to build an education upon his background. Bell Hooks gains the trust and credibility of readers through knowledge of the topic at hand, establishing common ground with the audience, and demonstrating fairness.
“There are some things money can’t buy, but these days, not as many” (Sandel 40). Sandel states this before he presents all of the data he has collected on how people spend their money. This use of logos conveys the point of the statement that money can almost buy anything. Money can pay children to read for the betterment of their education or be used to undermine others by paying five hundred thousand dollars to instantly become an American citizen, cutting ahead all those people who have been waiting for years. Unfortunately,
In this article Divecha and Stern used logos effectively in the Washington post article. In the article they stated that “A 2013 survey of 380 college counseling departments across the country shows that anxiety is the most common presenting problems in their offices, followed by depression and relationship problems”. The reason why it is so successful is because not only did they do surveys, but these things were actually happening to the college students and they couldn’t face these problems alone. It started to become an issue as stated in paragraph six “Many have suffered in silence due to the stigma of loneliness”, In addition to that this causes more health problems for the students.

...so done studies on how zero space can make a logo look better and can even send subliminal messages to the ones viewing it. A good example of this is through FedEx’s logo, between the E and the X you can see an arrow. This can portray many different things to different people, but generally it gives off the idea that the arrow takes you where you need to go, just as FedEx takes your package’s where they need to go. You can see all of these different studies implemented into everyday life. Some examples of how these are used all the time all around us are, for how color affects us, McDonald’s logo witch is red and yellow, also there golden arches which are so iconic they are recognized more than the Christian cross, Burger King, which uses red, and Wendy’s which uses red and yellow. Also for the zero space, as mentioned before, FedEx is a famous company to use this.
