John Deere was born in Vermont in 1804. His father went to England to find a job in 1808 and never came back, so he was primarily raised by his mother with his three brothers and his one sister. He was an educated man, and had always been fascinated with blacksmithing. At the age of 17, Deere got his first apprenticeship as a blacksmith in Middlebury. He was so talented, that with just a three year apprenticeship he was able to gain so much knowledge and start his own blacksmith company in 1825. Blacksmithing in Vermont wasn’t as substantial as in the West because the soil wasn’t as hard, so when Deere’s business wasn’t flourishing he packed up and moved to the West.
Mary Kay Ash worked hard her entire live. When she was only seven years old, her father came home from the institution he had been staying at since he had contracted tuberculosis. She was the youngest of four children, but ended up taking care of her father so her mother could continue working. She had to go to school, clean the house and cook dinner, which left her with little time to be an average seven-year old. She would talk to her mother every day on the phone to get instructions on how to cook dinner and her mother always took the time to answer any questions she might have. Imagine for one second that you have an idea, invention, or business plan that you believe could change the world forever. That’s the dream every entrepreneur has, to have an invention or a business that will be successful and change the world. In 1836, a young blacksmith by the name of John Deere, moved to Grand Detour, Illinois from Vermont seeking a new start. In Grand Detour, farmers were having difficulty with the hard, sticky soil sticking to the plow. Deere, being a blacksmith, believed that a plow that was polished and properly shaped could rid the soil by itself. In 1837, that idea became reality, Deere produced the broken saw blade steel plow. The plow caught on quickly and in 1841 the production of the plow was up to a mere 100. Two years later, he moved the company to Moline, Illinois where coal, water power, and cheaper transportation were all readily available. In 1850, roughly 1600 plows were produced, along with other pieces of equipment to go with the plow; starting the world renowned company, Deere & Company or more commonly known as, John Deere. Every entrepreneur has a dream for a life changing invention or a business opportunity that will change the world, John Deere happened to invent the steel plow at the right time to help America expand and develop and while leaving a company with a legacy that has continued to last for more than 176 years.

...ositive connotations that Grok associates with purple are “Intelligence and creativity” (Grok). I am intelligent because I believe myself to be a hardworking and determined student. I have all A’s, well except for Algebra, but grades aren’t the only thing that intelligence is based on, right? Growing up with my mother being a painter and my father being a graphic designer I originate from a very artistic family. I express my creativity in many diverse ways. I fancy writing, photography, and decorating my room in my own style. Most of all I think I am highly creative when it comes to the way I dress. Fashion has always been a tremendous part of my life, that’s why that moving to New York City and working in the fashion industry is my green light. The color purple is a mix of blue and red, like the mixture of excitement and calmness, which overall describes me.
Symbolism was a major literary element that is developed throughout The Color Purple. A model or image of God in the novel was a truly disturbing and yet a touching dedication to the female spirit and its search for equality, acceptance and independence. The meanings of names, clothes, quilting, occupations, power, and colors are only a few examples of the symbols used by the author to develop the characters of the story. No matter how hard and long Celies looks, it seems impossible to find love and happiness for herself. The purple color itself symbolized love while religion was often seen as offering a path of transformation-a way that leads through to happiness. Many women can see this as a trend that can help them achieve anything that they put their minds to. She can increase the amount of women applying for universities and jobs by inspiring them to do more than stay at home as housewives. And though the targeted audience knows that looks aren’t everything, they also know that the image they portray is extremely important in the work environment. Everyone knows that when you look good, you feel good, and having a positive state of mind is always helpful to better your chances of finding a healthy balance in all areas of your life.
With Harry Lime being in some form of shadow throughout it, the audience is shown how untrustworthy Lime ends up being. And this is all within a scene that was supposed to be a reunion between two friends. The lighting in the scene makes special use of chiaroscuro: the strong, dramatic, contrasts between light and dark (thinking about Lime and Martins dueling moralities.) The effect this causes is foundational to film noir, and specifically to German Expressionism noir. Martins is almost completely in the light when the camera faces him however, with his entire face consistently shown. Lime, on the other hand, is always obscured in some way. Lime becomes sinister through this; signifying how the audience should feel about
The beginning of make-up artistry started over 6,000 years ago (Bailey, Ekate. “The History of Makeup Artistry”). It all began with the ancient Egyptians. “Around 4000 B.C. Egyptian wall carvings showed make-up on men and women” (Bailey, Ekate. “The History of Makeup Artistry”). Both men and women used khol for eyeliner. They would apply eye make-up with a small smooth stone. For the powder and lips they ground carmine beetles which made a red powder. During the middle ages people would wear pale makeup which would make them look very pale, this was a sign of wealth (Bailey, Ekate. “The History of Makeup Artistry”).
