I think the book is very good and I like it. I picked it up in the library before 16 days and I read it within 4-5 days, reading every day at 76 pages with a cup of coffee. The book is awesome, I recommend everyone to read it, especially the elderly from 74 to 107 years. I do not know what to write about the book, a lot has 150 words. Like the main character, because the woman. She meets a guy who everything works, carried out, going crazy. "Let's go crazy tonight, let's fall in love with my eyes ..." Oh yeah man. It's a song of Lepa Brena, type on youtube and find it's not a bad song. Eventually they married and make babies like crazy ... haha, read a book !!!Go to the nearest library and lift it, you will not regret. I say seriously .....
This novel really stirred my emotions, especially in the beginning. For example, Candelario works at a restaurant owned by a man named Don Gustavo. Candelario is the salad maker and what taught, by Don Gustavo himself, how to make a perfect Caesar salad for his customers. The doctor and his wife came in and both ordered salads and Candelario made the salads exactly to Don's instructions, but the customers were not pleased. Since they were not pleased Don fired Gustavo on the spot that night. This made me very angered with Don and people like Don. It sucks when you do something right but then someone is displeased so all of a sudden it was the wro...
Evaluation: I thought the book was very exciting and suspenseful like her other books. The book had very good detail and an interesting plot. I liked the twist when Juan and the girl’s father came upon Glenn walking down the road. I also liked how the author described the action in great detail. It made me feel like I was right there seeing it all happen firsthand. I don’t think that the author could’ve made this book any better than she did already.
I really enjoyed all of the characters and this book tremendously. Both Lupe's and Juan's mother were very strong and God fearing women. They had a very strong bind between their children who were taught values and morals. This book made me want to know my ancestral routes and learn more about my culture. Since this book was a true story about Victor Villasenor's family, it made the stories even more real. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves to read.
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
This book is a very interesting read, if you have some self discipline. I mean that you need some self discipline because this book didn’t really captivate me in the sense that I couldn’t put it down. But after reading it for a while, I started to appreciate the author’s way of describing the characters and actions in this book.
Far back, in the midst of a time when the world was very young, there lived a princess named Lucille and a bunny named Fluffy. Lucille was a beautiful girl with chocolate brown hair, and eyes as blue as the sweet summer sky. Fluffy was as white as snowflakes and as soft as clouds. He offered plenty of razzmatazz but little manners. They lived together in a tall castle, covered in green vines and grey cobblestone, hidden in the dense forest filled with animals and nature.
How do I like the story of “The Clan of One-Breasted Women Epilogue By : Terry Tempest Williams? . Its informational because it talks about how breast cancer is deadly and what the damage/trouble it can cause. The text was emotional because human beings were losing there own lives. Terry lost most of her family due to this disease and suffered a lot growing up, which must have been really tough for her and her family. Cancer was caused by a horrific radioactive fallout, that gave this problem to women/girls of all ages. This caused a lot of stress in everyone who was infected with this Cancer.
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
This is my personal reflection about this book. First and foremost, I would like to say that this book is very thick and long to read. There are about nineteen chapters and 278 pages altogether. As a slow reader, it is a quite hard for me to finish reading it within time. It took me weeks to finish reading it as a whole. Furthermore, it is written in English version. My English is just in average so sometimes I need to refer to dictionary for certain words. Sometimes I use google translate and ask my friends to explain the meaning of certain terms.
This mask belongs to the minor character Mercutio; consequently, its main colors are orange, brown, and green because he is flamboyant, reliable, and young. To begin with, the color orange represents Mercutio’s most recognizable and dominant trait: flamboyance. It is exhibited most in his Queen Mab monologue, “Oh, then I see Queen Mab hath been with you./She is the fairies’ midwife, and she comes/In shape no bigger than an agate stone/On the forefinger of an alderman/Drawn with a team of little atomies...And in this state she gallops night by night/Through lovers’ brains, and then they dream of love...This is the hag, when maids lie on their backs,/That presses them and learns then first to bear,/Making them women of good carriage,”(Act I, Scene 4, lines 53-57, 70-71, 92-94).
have chosen it for my report. Finally, I will give my reactions to the novel
I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys stories centered on the maturation of youth during their teenage years. I felt that the climax of this story was not as exciting as it could have been. However, the storyline was very interesting as well as entertaining. I look forward to reading other stories by this author!
Some may consider this book bias, but I consider this book to be a true well written story of a woman who struggled and who never gave up. A story that actually used her diary entry that was implemented into the chapters. The author gave the reader the opportunity to see how hard her life was and how she withstood all that came at her, in a way this book an inspiration not only for women but rather to all of us.
I sit here waiting, waiting for the day for the I can be free. Free from work, free from these awful people, free from everything. I wish I could just settle down at my own place where I can grow my own food, farm my own land, be my own boss. I already dont have to worry about Lennie getting in any trouble. I guess I'm halfway there. It could just be me on my own, on a little farm, with some chickens, maybe some pigs or a cow. I can grow my own food. I know how to cook, I’m not too bad. I can teach myself some things. I can even go into town every saturday and trade in some of my things. While I'm there I can visit Lennie's grave, maybe bring him some pretty flowers. Oh I'm sure he would like that. I really do miss that sun of a gun.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a good escape. When I was reading this book I felt like I was in a different world, I felt like I was in their world. The author just wrote it in a way that everything that happens feels real. Overall this was a very good book.
