Brain Keller and Mike Wessington came to talk to out class to give us more insight on the Law Enforcement Officer Job. Brain and Mike work for the United States Fish and Wildlife service, both with a title of Federal Wildlife Officer. Brain Keller was in the marine core, grew up in Washington, and will more than liking be deported to Puerto Rico in the next couple of weeks to work. Mike Wessington grew up in Louisiana, served in the air force, his first job was in Huston, Texas as a biologist, and currently in his position now for nine years. Brian wanted this job because he loved hunting, while Mike wanted this job because he was sick of people taking over the limit on game animals and he wanted to stop it. Some duties and responsibilities an Enforcement Officer entails are preparing case files for all Easement Violations, serve as a Regional AR-15 Armorer and a National Control Tactics Instructor, and serve as a …show more content…

These presenters were very informational in explaining their duties, jobs, and training. I liked when they handed out the salary sheet to give us a visual of what we could look forward to in the future with pursuing this degree. It also interested me Brian and Mike talked about getting deployed to various locations to work for a period of time. I would really like to have a job in one location where I can raise a family but then also have the chance to be deployed to work somewhere else for a little bit, it would be a nice change. Some coursework and training that is required for this position are Law Enforcement Control Tactics Instructor Training Programs, Leadership Insatiate for Supervisors, and Digital Photography Course. This job also requires Flying Armed Training, Combat Submission Wrestling Seminar, and Marijuana Eradication Training.
