The well-known singer Lana Del Rey, also known as Elizabeth Grant, expresses her music with a lot of emotion. That’s one of the reasons she’s one of my favorite singers as of right now. The reason I say she uses emotion in her music is because a lot of her songs are very dark and sad and you hear the sadness in the song by the tone in her voice and also by her lryic’s but she also has really happy upbeat ones . She always seems to mix it up, and I love it! Today I am going to share with you Del Rey’s childhood, some of her struggles, and how all of that led her to fame. Lana Del Rey was born on June 21, 1985 in New York City and raised in Lake Placid. As a child she spent a lot of time alone, her mom worked alot and so did her father. The reason she drank is because she says she feels like going without alcohol is “scary”, by scary I think she means that shes so use to having it all the time that getting rid of it would be a big change, and for most people change is scary. According to Rebecca Pocklington, Lana says "Thinking about not drinking forever was very scary, but once I did it wasn't hard anymore because I had all of these miracles happen that let me know I was on exactly the right path." what Del Rey meant when she mentioned “ all these miracles happened” was that when she stopped drinking all the time she started focusing on her music career she slowly started writing her own music, and her songs started getting
