“A true Hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the size in his heart”-Zeus. Zeus claimed to be the ruler of heaven and earth. Also the god of law and fate. Many of us don’t know the true history of Zeus. Some may think he’s just the god of the sky and weather, with his lightning bolt weapon, controlling all others. But there is so much more to him than that. The story of Zeus was said to be that his father, Cronus, swallowed all of Zeus’ five brothers and sisters, because he didn’t want his kids to grow up as rulers and replace him. Zeus’ mother, Rhea, decided she wanted newborn Zeus not to be swallowed. So he could live his life and maybe someday become a king. She took Zeus and hid him in a cave on Mount Dicte. When Zeus grew up, he went to free his brothers and sisters by making Cronus vomit them up. Together: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter and Hera, the Olympian gods went to fight. To get control of their universe. They vanquished their father, their king, and the other titans. Zeus then became the ruler and king of their universe for having saved his siblings. It is said Zeus is “The founder of kingly power” Strength and power leads us, the way Zeus leads his universe. Together the Olympian gods have their own part they control. Who in the legends of the Olympians was the ugliest god. The reason for him being ugly was Hera may have been upset for her son being ugly. She threw him into the sea from Mount Olympus and broke his legs. Others say Hephaestus took Hera’s side during an argument between her and Zeus. So Zeus threw him from Mount Olympus.
