Friendship: The Greatest Gift in Life

“There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship,’’ a quote by Thomas Aquinas. I agree with this quote completely. True friends show their love in times of trouble, not in happiness and they are always there when needed most. Real friends should never leave each other's side. I believe that friends are siblings that God never gave us. Today, I do not know where I would be without my best friends. Friendship can be good sometimes, but also bad in others. The good times are when both of the friends are getting along and having a great time, doing the crazy activities that friends do. Having a good time with a buddy is the best because it seems like no wrong can happen, it is so fun and amusing. The bad is when people are not getting along, and they are both irritated. If the best friend is mad or upset, there is always that feeling of dread that hovers over your head. It is almost like the whole mood has changed completely, but the good situation about being best friends is that, the being mad will not last long. He only in a general honest thought and common good to all made one of them.” (5.5.74-78). In the first sentence of this quote Antony talks about Caesar being the noblest man in Rome. The relationship between the two was unbreakable. Antony was always by Caesar’s side helping him with almost anything he needed. Friends should do the same with each other. Antony and Caesar’s relationship is a perfect example of being cordial to one another. Their relationship is an example of being cordial because both of them are extremely warm and friendly to each other. Antony and Caesar are good examples of what a friendship should be
