When Julian Newman in the 5th grade he was playing in a high school skill level. His skill made playing with 5th graders are nothing. So they put him in highschool games. By him training he accomplished high ability stats like agility, faster movement, and even playing doing those things with his eyes closed. He does have a sister Jaden Newman and one thing he did was he taught his sister practiced with her taught her the simply training the moves and other. He even got requested interviews with people because they were so interested of how skilled he really
is. Julian goes through hard training. He wakes up everyday in the morning with his dad training so he can be the best. He does all types of training, when Julian plays basketball he wears weight these weights make him move much faster. He even lifts on weight with one hand and dribbles the ball in the other hand that is making him even stronger. And he does run a mile everyday. This is why he is so active in a game. And he keeps going he doesn’t get tired due of his hard work and hard training. If he keeps doing this he can honestly be an amazing player. I look up to Julian Newman even though i don’t play basketball it’s because i never seen a young person work so hard to achieve his goal. And he doesn’t just do this once in awhile he does this every him doing this everyday could make him much better. Julian Newman is one of the best basketball players, yet i know that he will soon be even better. Julian will be a great success and soon will be one of the best.
Although Danny is only four-eight, he overcomes great odds by leading a team who rejected him for being small. Since Mike Lupica made the protagonist a short elementary height, it creates a dramatic effect when his father asks him to coach, and then beats his old travel team. Danny Walker was used as a symbol to represent a great basketball mind behind a small middle schooler. The dedication and work ethic Danny has for basketball before and after he coaches the Warriors prove John Wooden’s quote, as he succeeds in being an on-court coach and star

“How awful it is for that person which suffers this great wrath and infinite misery!”(Edwards 89-90). This is the best example of Edwards doing what he does best in his sermons; using literary devices to scare people. Why would anyone do this? Well, he uses fear for persuasion. How he does this is carefully and delicately layered in his words. Edwards uses loaded language, vivid imagery, and specific types of sentences in order to scare his audience into becoming better Puritans.

Basketball was created and has been played since December 1891 (Griffiths, 2010), it is a game of skill and talent that is enjoyed by fans all over the world. There are numerous leagues, but the two main leagues are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). The NCAA is considered amateur where the players are not paid, and the NBA is considered professional where players make millions of dollars. In order for the NBA to get their players they draft from the NCAA, but the rules have changed several times over the years that have permitted players to enter the NBA. The current rule states that NBA players must be one year removed from high school or 19 years of age (Article X, 2008), this rule is considered by many needing the most change.
Starting my freshman year at County High School, I played basketball and loved every minute of it. I wouldn’t be conceited enough to say I was good, but God did bless me with the talent to play. My life revolved around the sport of basketball; some would say I slept, ate, and breathed every part of it. I spent all my time training and practicing to make myself a more dedicated athlete. This dedication not only helped me as a player, but also molded me into the person I am today. It somehow helped to prepare me for what defeat I would face with back surgery in the future.
