Joseph Stalin
Many historians say that Joseph Stalin is one of the most know villains of the twentieth century to date but at the same time he is the least known about. He was photographed more than any other leader in that time period, but still was one of the most mysterious men. Many historians have said that there are two main reasons that his life is a puzzle, the first thing is that there are no family records whatsoever, no letters, no diaries, or photographs, it is as if his family did not exist at all. He was born in the country modernly known as Georgia in the town of gori, which was located between the black and Caspian seas. Its western border consists of the province of Azerbaijan and to the south was the country known as turkey. Georgia was a mountainous country and proved a formidable obstacle to invading armies. Stalin was the only surviving child of his parent who was married in 1874. He had three older brothers but they sadly all died in infancy. His father worked as a shoe repairer and his mother worked as a maid. Stalin's father, nicknamed beso, had grown up I a family that had a history for violence, his father had gotten into so many fights he had got sent to jail, his older brother as stabbed to death in a drunken brawl and he, on his own wedding day, instead of taking part in the activities fought one of his wife's relativizes. beso and his wife who was nicknamed keke lived in a room above the shoe shop the small spaces and besos temper did not mix well and when he drank it was even worse. Stalin grew up watching his mother get beaten by his father, stalins mother complained to her neighbors saying that beso would pick Stalin up over his head and slam him onto the ground.one day his mother began to fight back, and after being beaten unconscious by his wife, bero left Georgia. Whenever his mother became head of the house she took out her hatred on Stalin beating him for even the tiniest mistake. in September 1888 Stalin attended gori church school for witch he graduated 1894. By the time he had reached adolescence Stalin had reached his full Hight of five feet and four inches tall. by this time his mother wanted him to further his education and becoming a priest was the highest honor for someone of stalins background.
