None of this would have happened if those idiots didn’t insisted on stopping. Now, I’m here in the hospital, lying on a hospital bed, asking myself why did I stopped. I wasn’t really hurt as Johnny. I just got a little burnt. A piece of timber that was on fire fell on Johnny. The doctors finally released me and now we are waiting for the update about Johnny. Ponyboy actually visited Johnny was well. While Johnny was in there with him, Johnny died, and the last thing Johnny told Ponyboy was “stay gold Ponyboy, stay gold.” That actually came out of a poem that Ponyboy and Johnny knew. Well now that we know that Johnny had past away. The greasers and I we so devastated and sad, we had no idea what to do now. I think that Ponyboy and I were
Oh Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. Johnny was my best friend, a part of my family. I knew that I could always count on him whenever I needed him. Even though his family was violent with him, he was still there for me. He can also always count on me to be there for him. Other people don't know him as well as I do, I remember all the great times we had looking up at the stars at 1 a.m. in a lot. *pause* We also went to the movies. This one time there were these two pretty good looking girls there, and they were Socs too. They were sweet, nice and funny, they were even nice to us Greasers. Anyway, Johnny wouldn't hurt anyone unless he absolutely had to, Johnny didn't like to fight that often. The only time he would fight would be in the rumble, or if
The Greasers win, but when Dally and Pony go to tell Johnny that they won, he dies during their visit. Dally is destroyed by this and later he calls Pony to tell him that he robbed a store and is being chased by the cops. They hurry to meet him, and see him shot down after he pulls a gun on the police. Pony is scared by what has happened, and convinces himself that he, not Johnny, killed the Soc. He is also afraid that Social Services will take him and Soda away from Darry and into a foster home.
He is smart, and gets good grades in school. This is purposefully mentioned several times within the story, and people tend to be surprised to learn that he is a Greaser. In addition, some Greasers are nicer than people tend to think. When the church burned down, Ponyboy and Johnny run in to save the children without a second thought. They acted with selflessness, putting the safety of the children above their own. In the ambulance on the way to the hospital, Ponyboy is asked if he and Johnny are "professional heroes". He responds by telling the entire story of how they're Greasers and Johnny is wanted for murder, shocking the man in the ambulance. It is difficult for him to believe that a group of Greasers would do something so heroic. Johnny dies as a direct result of their actions, but neither Ponyboy nor Johnny regretted what they
Boom! Johnny drops to the floor. Kids are screaming. This is when Johnny is a hero for the second time in the story, The Outsiders. Johnny is a hero because he saved kids from a fire and Johnny saved Pony from dying.
The Outsiders identified the 60’s, often there would be violence between groups and often involving a group’s social class. For instance, the tensions between the Socs and Greasers is violent, and this will lead to Bob’s death, Johnny’s death, as well as many injuries throughout both gangs. ...nny passed away a piece of each Greasers heart passed away as well. Ponyboy who usually aced his classes was lucky to get a C on assignments after Johnny deceased. He dazed off during classes and thought about the gang, mainly Johnny. While Dallas completely lost his mind when Johnny died. Dallas robbed a store to make sure the police followed him. He had made the bold decision to pull out his unloaded gun when he was surrounded by police officers. Dally new that once he pulled out his gun, his life was going to end. Dally had no reasons to stay alive since the only person he actually cared about passed away. Johnny spiritually gave Dally the courage and determination he needed to get through everyday when he was still alive. In other words, the loss and grief their group of Greasers underwent was what made all the boys make illogical decisions.

The movie, The Outsiders, starts with the Curtis parents on their weekly, Saturday evening drive to the baking store to buy some ingredients for their boys’ favorite Sunday morning, breakfast treat: chocolate cake. The Curtis boys love their chocolate cake for Sunday breakfast not only because they love it, but also because they appreciate how hard their parents have to work to save the monies necessary for the morsels that put smiles on their faces!
The Outsiders is about the life of a 14-year-old boy. The book tells the story of Ponyboy “Curtis” and his struggles with right and wrong in a society in which he believes that he is an outsider. Pony and Soda are allowed to stay under Darry's guardianship as long as they all behave themselves. The boys are greasers, a class term that refers to the young men on the East Side, the poor side of town. The greasers' rivals are the Socs, short for Socials, who are the "West-side rich kids."

While everyone else began partying, I looked back on that night that took both Johhny and Dally forever. That was a time of pain and suffering for us all. Johnny`s death was hard for everyone, but some learned to grieve easier than others. It was too much to handle for Dally , which lead him to his death. After a very dark period in my own life I arose from the pain through my writing, which allowed me to accept everything at my own pace. Although the pain from their deaths will never fully disappear it can be controlled. I now understand what Johnny meant by staying gold and I have made it my life`s goal to spread that message through my writing to keep Johnny`s memory
I was out alone one evening, in an upmarket part of San Francisco. I went to one of those swish bars... you know the kind, low lights and smooth Pat Metheny-style Latin jazz, tinkling through the speakers. The day had been frustrating. I’d had a succession of meetings to attend, mostly with difficult, demanding clients. Sometimes, I’J thinking in those meetings, when some overbearing suit says something arrogant: ‘Ya feel lucky punk...’ (Dirty Harry: always a good tension release).
