John Pennekamp Coral Reefs: Walt Disney World

One of Florida's Standout natural attractions would be the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. It's an aquatic state park in Key Largo, Florida. You can view the coral reefs by snorkeling, scuba diving or a glass bottom boat tour that they offer. In addition to viewing the coral reef, you can kayak, canoe, swim, fish, hike and picnic. They also have campgrounds available for both tents and RVs. The reason people would want to visit this place is because it's the first aquatic state park in the U.S. and contains the only living coral reef in the continental U.S., and that is a very special thing to have.

The first major difference is who is really going to get the most from these attractions. Coral reefs are rare, but they do exist. For example, someone from Australia who snorkels a lot has probably seen the Great Barrier Reef an absurd amount of times and probably wouldn't care much about the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. On the other hand, Disney World is different enough from each of Disney's other parks to be special and worth visiting for most people. The second major difference is how much there is to do at these attractions. The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park seems very nice, but there is only so much you can actually do. You can swim and hike and have a picnic, but that's about it. If you're coming from afar, you would probably only want to spend a day here. Disney World, on the other hand, has almost to much to do. It takes at least a week to do and enjoy most of it. Even then you're probably not going to be able to do a good portion of it. In my mind, I would like travelers to do more of the natural stuff, but it's going to depend on if they have a lot of similar stuff in there home state/country. Orlando, Florida is the theme park capital of the world, and most people come for that. It can be difficult to enjoy the more natural stuff if you can plan an entire trip to Florida in theme parks
