After watching the film "Jesus Christ Superstar" based on a famous rock opera of the same name we are to write about the impression it left.
The film is telling about the last days of Jesus Christ's life, with a plot organized like a contradiction between Judas and Jesus. We all know that Judas is supposed to be a betrayer, thus a bad guy, but on watching the film it seems he was not that bad. Judas had his reasons, he thought Jesus to be too much "relaxed", not caring about suffering people. So, for example, he said that the money spent on ointment for Jesus could have been given to the poor. And that is reasonable. Judas understands that Jesus is just a man, but worshiped like a god, and thinks it to be the wrong way.
Jesus is shown in the film actually more like a man than a god. Though he is a good guy in the story, he is not almighty. He does care for himself and is afraid of death, but he tries to help people, with the problem being only that there are too many of them. He says that he used to be different when everything started, and now he's weak and tired. In some moments it seems that his followers' attention to him, his popularity and everyone's need to touch him are the reasons of his tiredness.

He criticizes Jesus as he has expected more from him. Jesus seems to think of his future death as a way of being remembered, and Judas thinks it all to be just ambition. The money Judas gets for his betrayal he refused first and took only in order to give it to the poor. It is seen that Judas loves Jesus, and still something makes him betray the one he loves. Of course, Judas sees that Jesus is tired and can't do as much as Judas wants. But that is not the reason. Before Judas hangs himself he thinks that the God must have chosen him for that
...example, Jesus is calmly gazing upon Judas’ face with the expression of acceptance for what is to come, and Peter has a grotesque look of fury as he smites the ear off the high priest’s servant.
...uch like Judas did when he gave Jesus to the Romans for his crucifixion. Billy represents Judas, who betrayed Christ. Billy’s betrayal ultimately led to McMurphy’s death and downfall.
"HER ORIGINAL NAME was Patricia Neal"(Reynolds1), but the author of Fried Green Tomatoes is better known under the alias: Fannie Flagg. In the novel Fried Green Tomatoes she uniquely compares the modern day world to the world in the early and the middle 1900’s. As the novel shifts from the 1930’s to the 1980’s the significance of life is seen through two of the main characters, Mrs. Cleo Threadgoode and Evelyn Couch, as life ends and begins. Fannie Flagg shows that living life to its fullest indeed has its consequences, but is the only way to live a happy life without regrets.
Upon reading the poem "Saint Judas" by James Wright, the reader quickly realizes that the poem deals with Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus' twelve apostles. The author describes Judas as "going out to kill himself,"(line 1) when he sees a man being beaten by "a pack of hoodlums"(2). Judas quickly runs to help the man, forgetting "how [his] day began"(4). He leaves his rope behind and, ignoring the soldiers around him, runs to help. Finally, he remembers the circumstances that surround his suicidal intentions and realizes that he is "banished from heaven"(9) and "without hope"(13) He runs to the man anyway and holds him "for nothing in [his] arms"(14)
desires lead him to believe that everyone and everything is out to kill him, so he must protect

There are many ideas of what drove Judas to betray Jesus. The main one was already mentioned, and it is the one where Mary was anointed and Judas’ view on Jesus went from seeing him a King to a clown. Another reason that Judas may have betrayed Jesus was out of greed. As you know, Judas was a businessman and he handled the financials of the Apostles. Judas could have been seen as stingy, but organized with the money of the Apostles. Judas did not like to waste anything which is why he was so upset when the lady dropped the incense at Jesus’
One aspect of his teaching that brought adverse attention to him was his repeated assertion that he was the Son of God sent to the Earth to redeem humankind. This was in direct violation of Jewish law. For this he was condemned to die. Betrayed by one of his apostles, Judas, Jesus did not resist his imprisonment he saw it as the fulfillment of his purpose.
toward his tasks is sort of a light and airy one. He does not take life

There is a guilty pleasure one gets from watching characters we identify with struggle on screen, and we begin to think to ourselves that maybe our lives aren’t so bad after all. Such is the case in Bruce Almighty, a new release from Universal Pictures directed by Tom Shadyac. The movie is by no means sensational or groundbreaking, but it has an irresistible charm that draws in viewers in desperate need of a break from reality. The unfortunate protagonist (Jim Carrey) becomes convinced that God has abandoned him after he loses a coveted news anchor position to a slimy coworker. God (Morgan Freeman) grants Bruce his heavenly powers and challenges him to do a better job, pointing out that “…Gandhi only lasted a week!”
From 1095 to 1291 C.E., the Crusades spread across Europe in the name of Christianity. The high tension between the Muslims and the Christians was caused by the want of the city of Jerusalem. The Jews, the Christians, and the Muslims believed Jerusalem was theirs, and went to violent efforts to achieve it. In the movie, Kingdom of Heaven by Oliver Stone, the main character, Balian is thrown into the fight between the Christians and the Muslims. Kingdom of Heaven is a portrayal of one of the Crusades, and although the movie was based from real people, the film makers decided to change aspects about the characters and situations to relate to current events and audiences.
