Jeff Varner, a chiropractor and acupuncturist, came into our classroom to talk to us about practicing in these fields of medicine. In my opinion, Jeff Varner was one of our best speakers so far in this class, his knowledge about his career and his stories made the presentation amazing. Jeff first talked about chiropractic work. He explained to us the process of schooling to become a doctor of chiropractic. You first have to get a 4 year undergraduate degree, this should probably be in some field of science, either for your major or your minor. You also want to do stuff during this time to set you apart from other people, such as learn a second language, or do a lot of volunteer work. After this, you apply to a chiropractic school. The road to gaining admission to medical school and becoming a physician is long, difficult, and intensely competitive. Once admitted, however, medical students spend the first two years primarily in laboratories and classrooms learning basic medical sciences. They also learn how to take medical histories, perform complete physical examinations, and recognize symptoms of diseases. During their third and fourth years, the medical students work under supervision at teaching hospitals and clinics. Following medical school, new physicians must complete a year of internship that emphasizes either general medical practice or one specific specialty and provides clinical experience in various hospital services. Physicians then continue in residency training, which lasts an additional three to six years, depending on the specialty. Immediately after residency, they are eligible to take an examination to earn board certification in their chosen specialty. Most traditional specialties include the following: anesthesiologist, cardiologist, dermatologist, family practitioner, gastroenterologist, internist, neurologist, oncologist, pathologist, psychiatrist, pulmonologist, and urologist
Have you ever been adjusted by a chiropractor? Have you ever been in a chiropractic office? They are always extremely busy and have very wide open space! Chiropractors also like to keep their offices clean and busy with patients so they can get more business. During the day the chiropractors office is very busy. The chiropractors are always nice and respectful to their patients. Do you know anybody that works at a chiropractic office, or even is a chiropractor? Because many chiropractors have their own family, they usually give them free or discounted adjustments. This research paper will talk about the salary, schooling requirements, and the job outlook of the chiropractor. It will also explain what chiropractors do in their job. I hope that I will become a chiropractor someday after all my college years. Hopefully Alex will start a business and invite me and ask me to work for him! He has already talked about starting a business in the tropical islands somewhere. Chiropractors can make a lot of money, they just need to know how to adjust their patients the correct way.

I have always aspired to be a chiropractor. Chiropractors treat patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system including the nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. They use spinal adjustments as well as manipulation, usually on the neck back (“Summary”). I chose to go down the path of chiropractic practice because I have always been interested in it. It is important to understand the education and training requirements, skills and talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties while making your career choice a chiropractor.
Various educational requirements serve as a qualification to a career as a physical therapist. A person must earn a minimum of two degrees from accredited universities, perform volunteer service and comply with certification requirements to complete the educational requirements toward a career in physical therapy. First, the interested person must complete an undergraduate degree with either a Bachelor of Science, or a Bachelor of Arts with a heavy science background.. A common requirement among universities is a minimum grade point average of 2.5 in all basic courses and a minimum 3.0 in all science classes for entrance into a Master’s degree program. Important considerations by most, if not all, programs are the person’s grades and attitude displayed during a required personal interview with an executive from the university which the interested student plans to attend. The next stepinvolves earning a Master’s degree from an accredited university. Once into a Master’s program, the student must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average throughout the two year program. A basic program, as described by The World Book Encyclopedia, consists of "courses in anatomy, clinical medicine, physiology, psychology, therapeuticexercise, and the use of various physical and electrical equipment" (Zeleny, 1986). Theseclasses should thoroughly prepare the student for their future care...

The ongoing schism within the chiropractic profession has greatly impacted its perception to other health delivering systems as well as society. Currently American doctors must attend four years of undergraduate college. After obtaining a bachelor degree,
Biology, chemistry, physics, and related lab work is a part of what they have to study. Once the person is accepted into an accredited chiropractic college, four-five years of study is a requirement. They also work in a clinical setting so they can be able to obtain hands-on experience since the job of a chiropractor is very hands-on. Once licensed to practice, all practitioners in 50 states undergo rigorous academic studies in the healing sciences, anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation and nutrition. All the knowledge obtained from this education helps chiropractors diagnose patients problems, solve/fix them and advice can also be given to the patient to prevent hurting themselves the next
The answer can be found through years and years of schooling, about fifteen to be exact. Four years of undergraduate studies, four years of medical school and between three and seven years of internship and/or residency, a very intense course load (bls.gov). The reason why the residency times vary so dramatically, is because some doctors want more clinical experience so they can get a better job. Employers in the medical field will be more likely to select an employee who has lots of experience, because then the company will not have to train them as much. Sadly, those years in college are not free. An Ivy League college like Cornell University costs around $60000 dollars annually, not including room, food, or textbooks (big future.org)! If the cost is too much to handle, most colleges offer financial aid or scholarship opportunities to assist with this daunting task. Talk to a school counselor other college representative for more information. The college you choose should depend on what career you desire, as certain colleges are better suited for prep for certain jobs. For example, Cornell has a biotechnology institute and a supercomputer, which are both devices that can help in medical research or operation (bigfuture.org). Keep these facts in mind as you search for a perfect college and decide if becoming a neurosurgeon is worth the
Most important you must earn the doctor of chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college. Lastly, students must do a clinical internship of approximately 1,000 hours. I believe that all of this schooling and training will be worth it.
